Most women seeking abortion have no idea anyone is calling them “victims of abortion” - not before their abortion and not afterwards.Talking about women as victims of abortion removes the decision makers from the consequences of their actions. Not a very wise tactic, IMHO. Think of the old testament law that required parents who wanted their rebellious children killed cast the first stone. (Deuteronomy 21:18-21) If the parents want an abortion, they should be forced to own up to the act they are going to commit and accept the consequences.
They aren’t saying “well I’ll go get an abortion because I can just say I am a victim and that will remove any consequences of the abortion.”
Knowing post-abortive women are victims of aboriton is “not a tactic”… it is reality.
Many women don’t even know they are suffering from Post Abortion Syndrome. They don’t know there is even such a thing.
They don’t connect their addictions, their depression, their disorders, their failure to be able to bond with children they have later, their promiscuous life-style to their abortion.
Many mothers take what they did, the horrible day of the abortion, and stuff it deep inside their mind. They try not to think about it. When they see a child the age of their child and suffer - they usually suffer in silence.
Their abortion is a hidden secret. Most mothers are afraid for people to know.
God forgives them when they ask for His forgiveness. Many women think God will never forgive them for their horrible act. I heard one woman thought if she walked into a church, it would surely fall down upon her… that is not a normal, logical thought… but it is the sad feelings of a post-abortive woman.
Until many of these mothers experience a healing, they live daily with the consequences… they just might not even know it is a consequence of their abortion.
May all those suffering from abortion hear God’s words of Love touching their hearts.
