Are there any morally wrong hairstyles?

If physical appearance had any inherent morality then Samuel would have picked one Jesse’s strongest sons instead of little David.

In short: No.

I know of three types of hairdos which should never be used by women:
  1. The Justin bieber hairdos
  2. The Ellen DeGeneres hairdos
  3. The infamous Go Eun Chan hairdos
Ask for me the pics, and I’ll post them here! 🙂

Aren’t these the same hair style?

No, they’re not.
Justin Bieber’s old hairdo is longer than the one that Ellen DeGeneres typically has. It’s the reason why people (and not some) tend to mock Justin Bieber for looking feminine.
Go Eun-chan’s hairdo is a little different.
Here’s the infamous hairdo by Go Eun-chan: protocolsnow.com/wp-content/images/tinypic/090105_coffeeprince2.jpg 🙂
Go Eun-chan is a character from the Korean drama “Coffee Prince”.

No way! Go for it that would be totally cool 😃

You should see the way some of my family rock on up to the church - with tats all up their arms and piercings. I even know a old man who altar served at mass once (out in the country) with his leather on and everything.

Its not about the way you look - its the fact that you are there actively participating and listening to the mass. Of course dress respectively and in your best, but you have the freedom of self-expression. Whats more important is the condition of your soul, not your choice of style 😃 But id totally get a mohawk if i were you ~<3

I’m considering getting a mohawk. Not a big one and not shaving the sides either, just short. Something like this: www1.pictures.stylebistro.com/bg/Dior+fashion+show+in+Paris+rjcxs8aMWool.jpg

Is there anything wrong with this? I’d most likely wear it down at mass anyway.
That’s not big??!!

Morally wrong – no.

If you wear it “down”, or so it does not cause people whiplash when they see you coming, then go for it I suppose. I’m not personally a fan, but I don’t have an issue with it if that’s how you like to look.

I’ll reiterate the point made by one of the previous posters – anything that is a distraction at Mass for other attendees isn’t good, but consider that this is a wide range of things. Someone dressed in a tuxedo would be inappropriately dressed for Mass, if the typical wear was business casual. There is a girl at our parish who has quite a few piercings, but since she’s there regularly, no one really pays any attention by now. Can’t see a mohawk would make a lot of difference, especially if you already know a bunch of people there or are involved with your parish.

That hairstyle looks ok to me. Did I miss something??

To the OP, enjoy being you!

Haha it probably would be smaller than that. 🙂

Thanks for all the replies!

How old are you? If you are an adult, I hope you realize that such a hair style can seriously have a negative effect on your employment. And, if you are a youth, your school officials are likely to have a dim view of your choice of hair style.
I will say though, that here in New York City, Mohawk hair dos are considered passe and only prentious country bumpkins (for you in Australia- unsophisticated people from the bush) wear them.

Go Eun-chan’s hairdo can make a woman look like a dude.
I do have a couple of suggestions.
Instead of going for Go Eun-chan’s typical hairdo, why not try having Han Chaewon’s typical hiardo or Bang Isuk’s typical hairdo? 🙂
Han Chaewon’s: hancinema.net/photos/fullsizephoto232615.jpg
Bang Isuk’s: koreandrama.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Unexpected-You-1.jpg
Han Chaewon is a main character in the Korean drama “I’ll Give You The Stars and the Moon”, while Bang Isuk is a secondary character from the Korean drama “Unexpected You”. 🙂

Technically, that photo is a faux-hawk, not a mohawk. You gotta shave the sides for a mohawk.

Here’s a good mohawk.

JPL Mohawk

personal opinion alert; your mileage may vary

I don’t think there are any morally wrong hairstyles. I do think that there are some hairstyles that look really stupid. However, I completely support the right of young people to fix themselves up to look in such a way that 40 years from now, they will look at pictures of their young selves and say, “I don’t believe I let myself look so DUMB!!!”

😃

personal opinion off; have a hairy day
