Are there any verses where Jesus says he is the word

Perhaps you would like to clarify why it is important to you that he actually said that? If you know the Jesus in the Bible, he is the most humble man there is. He has the power and authority but you wouldn’t see him displaying any arrogance. He doesn’t lie and he doesn’t accept falsehood. When his followers said Jesus is Lord God, he didn’t deny it but accepted it. If he had denied that he is Lord God, he would have lied.
Jesus saying it, is very authoritative, as oppose to a disciple, or those who came after.
Secondly, even if someone were to claim to be “X”, if he does not display the attributes of “X”, there is nothing much to say except to say that he claims to be “X”.
So are you saying Jesus did not display the attributes of what you claim him to be, God??
BTW, didn’t the Quran said something about Jesus being the Word of God too?
It describes him to be a word of God, which the Muslims do not understand as something uncreated or eternal. However the Speech of God, we believe to uncreated and eternal and we do not ascribe this to Jesus.
Just wondering what is the purpose of your query.
To acquire the truth, as it is, and not what it appears to be.

Prophets of God are always right, their disciples and companions can be wrong.
And you know the companions of Muhammad are correct?

I also believe that if God has any interest in what he reveals to us, he would preserve them.

Why would Jesus get disciples if there was no hope that any of them would get it right?

Prophets of God are INDEED always right, but what about False Prophets?

In the world of Islam, Truth is a guessing game, no way to measure what is true.

Let’s see what happens when we revise your statement:FALSE Prophets of God are NOT always CORRECT (may be lying
too), THE disciples and companions (of true Prophets) ARE MORE
RELIABLE SOURCES.
But why go to reliable sources when we can go to a man like Baha’u’llah for better answers?

This is my context.
  1. Christian scholar differ on who wrote the Gospel of John. There isn’t a consensus on who wrote it.
  2. In general the disciples or companions of Prophets are reliable. But it is possible for them to be wrong. They are not divinely protected.
  3. I am not convinced that all the disciples of Jesus, believed he was God. The fact that you have different early Christian sects is a direct reflection of the differing opinions among the disciples of Jesus, major and minor. This is why it is important to know what Jesus really said. So we can try to determine who is correct or not.
4… If a true Prophet comes after, another Prophet, they can correct the mistakes of disciples or companions of a previous Prophet.

So we are agreed. Companions and followers can be wrong. Mohammed did not write the Koran. His followers and companions did…right?

So the Koran cannot be trusted.

Thank you for clearing that up. I feel much better now

Scholars do speculate and study and debate and so forth, but they are not authorities.
If God cares at all about what Jesus did, then he would have had the Apostles preach
and write correctly the words and deeds of Jesus. The Church then, as it was forming
the New Testament, was guided by God into selecting the appropriate texts. Scholars
can speculate all they’d like, but it doesn’t change God’s Will.

So in GENERAL, disciples or companions of Prophets are reliable, UNTIL Muhammad
refutes them, BRILLIANT! What an elegant system! I believe the Apostles were Divine-
ly protected in their speech and writings, unlike Muhammad in the Allat, Al Uzza, and
Manat incident, the apologist response being that Satan had cast those words regard-
ing these “high flying cranes” onto the tongue of Muhammad. Protected by God?

How do you know where to look to find out what Jesus really said?
Muhammad? Why? How can we test his words?

Another false prophet, by the
name of Joseph Smith, once
said himself that:Some revelations are of God: some revelations are of men: and some revelations are of the Devil.
Whose were Muhammad’s?

I hope, after you have shown Sufi how wrong he is, he is not as vulgar to you in a PM as he was with me.
