Is there anyone here besides huckleberry who … has heard of a nifty thing called evolution? It is physically impossible for only 2 of a species to naturally create a sustainable, growing populations.
Either: a) God did somehow did some selective DNA sequencing so that Adam and Eve’s kids were somehow able to get around the minimum viable population lawsm(which means that the Catholic church should change it’s stance on IVF), b) We’re all the children of incest, c) It’s a metaphor.

Personally, I’ll stick with c.

But didn’t Cain or Able or something go to a town with people in it? Where did they come from? Did they have the original sin?

Obviously, Adam and Eve’s family multiplied rapidly including overlapping generations and subsequently migrated. Original Sin was transmitted by propagation to all mankind.
