Are we really alone in the physical Universe?

And yet at the Big Bang the universe could fit in the palm of your hand.

The reason it is so big is that it is expanding. That was part of the initial design.

It’s not like God said i’m going to make the universe this big and put my pet project in this little section. That is a mis-reading of Theology and science.

The Catholic priest Lemaitre came up with the idea of the big bang and an expanding universe. In order to get carbon atoms and the different elements we first had to get simple matter and then stars that were formed and then exploded and then formed again. This process takes billions of our Earth years. Because the universe is expanding, and we need time before the basic elements of life form, that is why the universe is so big.

We have to remember that billions of light years of empty space with some fires and rocks in between are nowhere near as important as one baby.

You mean only a human baby?

You really mean such a huge entity like our UNIVERSE is only on account of US? Definitely, such huge HEAVEN was not needed in order to persuade human race that there had to be A CREATOR of everything…

BIG-BANG- a possible way of creation. But, again: is it really only on account of US?

Some of those details might simply be the natural results of human cultural variation; others might be different interpretations of the same spiritual experiences. In general, many of the details might be likened to the different descriptions of one elephant felt by a blind man feeling the trunk, another blind man feeling the leg, etc.
Indeed.

I’ve often thought that this story of the Elephant and the blind men was the epitome of compartmentalization. 😉

On the other hand, some of those details are not just ‘sky vs. ground’ pieces in a larger puzzle. Sometimes they are truly contradictory!

I see the blind men-and-elephant story as a model of how science works.😉

If someone tells me that murdering people is a good idea, and someone else tells me that saving lives is a good idea, then, yes, there is a contradiction here.

But Hinduism (as it is truly meant to be practiced) and Christianity (as it is truly meant to be practiced) don’t have such contradictions in terms of action.

When it comes to theology, I refer to the apophatic traditions of Christianity, in which words are useful, but ultimately incapable of describing what, or Who, God Is. So, Hindu and Christian ideas of God might use different words, and some of those words might work better than others in different contexts, but no context is absolute, because all context eventually changes.

It can be done. Just google “reincarnation and Christianity”.😃
Internet is not a relevant source for such an explanation.

Holy Bible is the only authority.

And, according to the Authority, there is no reincarnation.

I was referring to a human baby, but i did not limit the point to human babies.
I am not saying that Creation is only for humans, that is something we will not know until the unlikely event that we find intelligent alien life.
I don’t refer to Heaven and the Universe as the same thing.
There is a large universe because it was needed in order to create the different elements of matter in an expanding Universe format, i don’t say that it’s size has anything to do with the purpose of convincing anybody about whether or not there is a God.

Do you think these things ?

Regards.
