I have been saying the Rosary for years and 2 weeks ago a friend who is relatively new to the Rosary told me about this.

Use Google and search for themes, or the decade of the Rosary you want, looking up only visual images. As as sub to that you can choose Icons, photos or any number of different ways to portray what you want. Select what You like, save the item to your PC, hopefully if you have a color printer print the pictures, giving you a visual image for each decade of the Rosary. Make 10 different for each and have your own scriptual Rosary.

Make this into a small book form, keep it next to where you pray, make one for friends and family. If you have a nice color printer, make and send me a copy. 🙂

I’ve been doing something like it for quite a while now and I find it a great blessing. I searched for a number of sites which offer Biblical quotes for each of the Hail Marys for each of the Mysteries of the Rosary. I’ve got two or three different sets which I use in rotation. When I get some time I’ll select my own Biblical quotes to use when reciting the Rosary.

That’s also a good idea to assemble pictures as well.

And, yes I am a big fan of the Rosary and try to make it as interesting as possible.

You can also hook up your CPU to your TV and estimate the time it takes you to say decade and program the picture program to change after certain minutes, I have a 48"
TV so it works wonders especially when you have Gregorian chant to play along with it.

Coming from a rationalist atheistic world (though it proved to be irrational ;)) into a rationalist Christian world was very traumatic for me. You must believe that I was absolutely convinced atheism is the truth. This was a dogmatic and firm belief on my part. As the days of reading Clarke, Aquinas, and Lewis wore on, however, I was given the arguments for belief in God. These convinced me that a wondrous personal God exists, and it is He whom I now worship with all my flawed heart. Of course, in this extremist way I think, it is either “God is absolutely nothing” or “God is absolutely everything”, and this naturally made me afraid of showing any respect to this blessed Virgin.

Reading about my beloved Dominicans (who spread devotion to the rosary earnestly) has given me a huge appreciation for the blessed lady. As I read the “Lives of the Brethren”, it became very clear what good Mary did - and does - in heaven. She is not only called the universal ‘woman’ by the Blessed Lord at Cana (thus fulfilling the teaching of the Trinity at the gate to Eden), but she is the only person other than Holy Jesus described as “full of grace” in the Bible. Learning these things lately have shifted my opinion of the mother of God significantly.

Reading articles about Dominican history has shown me just how much importance they attached to this set of prayers. Dominic constantly exalts the blessed Virgin, and all the most important events in the foundation of the Order are said to have involved her. She instigated the creation of the Order for love of the world which God so powerfully made. She has always been with the Preachers. How can I be a spiritual Dominican without exploring the beauty and love of the humble woman who vowed obedience to the Holy One?

As Providence had it, the only Christmas card I have yet received in my new life as a Christian contained a small booklet called “Pocket Rosary Prayers”. The woman who gave me this card, with the booklet contained, has convinced me by her small act of love to begin the rosary. Once I am baptised, in thanksgiving I will use that blessed weapon against all the vile demons of Hell who assail us in the great conflict.

Do you not see, dear friends, how the beloved virgin works slowly? She always puts herself in the background, always behind the glory of her Son. 🙂

LOL that would be truly epic. Imagine all the neighbours complaining each day because you were praying the Rosary (Massivley loud Gregorian Chant Booming from your TV)!😃

Awesome!

:blessyou:

For anyone interested Angelus Press publishes 2 Rosary picture books. “The Rosary Album,” and “The Holy Rosary.” I have the first and use it from time to time, and have thumbed through the second which I think is better–bigger and more colorful.

I agree that when prayer gets a little stale the books are a good change of pace. The meditations are wonderful.

Yes, I am a 100% fan of praying the Rosary.

For those of us who are pressed for time, I highly recommend the Mary Foundation Rosary recording. You can mail in for a free CD or download an MP3, also for free, from their website.

If you would prefer to have additional meditations during the Rosary, Fr. Benedict Grochel’s The Rosary is a Place is the Cadillac of recorded Rosaries. There are 2 CDs, the original “The Rosary is a Place” for the original mysteries and “The Rosary is Luminous Place” which contains meditations for the Luminous Mysteries. Both CDs can be mail-ordered for free from the St. Philomena Foundation or you can purchase both albums from iTunes or Amazon.

Every night at 730 with my wife and girls! 🙂
That’s the spirit. 🙂 Rev. Fr. Hugh Thwaites, S.J., very often stressed the need for family rosary during his public life. His gentle urgings that a family can only stay together if it turns off the television and cries to its blessed Lord have touched our hearts. Listen to his calm voice and happy laughter, and behold a man devoted to the love of God. Families that pray together stay together!
What a wonderful witness! God Bless you in your journey Home. If you do not know of this site, consider it my gift to you: rosary-center.org/

Thank you very much my dear friend. 😃 I had no idea this confraternity existed! This is beyond Grace, and I thank you with all my heart! I will enroll the moment I’ve been guided into the Holy Church. Bravo!
A prayer warrior can only thank properly by offering prayers… 😉

I don’t have all the Mysteries typed out yet, but here are the Joyful from a very old prayer book. I use these meditations more often than not…

The Eucharistic Rosary : Meditations taken from the prayer book With God
by Fr Francis Xavier Lasance , Benziger Brothers 1911
Code:
                                The First Joyful Mystery
                                    The Annunciation
O Jesus, born of Thy Father from all eternity; filled with an incomprehensible love for men, Thou didst become man in the operation of the Holy Ghost, humbling Thyself to such a degree to take the form of a servant. The same charity hath prompted Thee to perpetuate, in the Eucharist, this mystery of annihilation and love, even improving on it by becoming the food of our souls.
Divine Jesus, we adore Thee in these unfathomable abasements, and we beg of Thee, through the intercession of Thy Holy Mother, a deep and heartfelt humility.
Code:
                            The Second Joyful Mystery
                                      The Visitation
Divine Saviour, from the womb of Mary, wherein Thou didst become incarnate, Thou breathest fourth sanctity into John the Baptist and benediction on the whole house of Elizabeth. From the Host wherein Thou dwellest, Thou spreadest all over the world the influence and grace of Thy love throughout the whole Church.
O divine Jesus, full of love and kindness, we adore Thee, and we beg of Thee, through the intercession of Thy Holy Mother, perfect charity toward our neighbors.
Code:
                          The Third Joyful Mystery
                          The Nativity of Our Lord
O King of kings ! Poor indeed, yet most lovely in the crib of Bethlehem, Thou callest the simple and the poor to be Thy first adorers: poorer and no less amiable to the eyes of the faith in the Sacrament of thy love, Thou art still delighted to see around Thy person the humble and the little.
O Jesus, in Thy destitution we adore Thee, to Whom belong all the treasures of the God- head, and we beg of Thee, through the intercession of Thy Holy Mother, detachment of the goods of this world.
Code:
                            The Forth Joyful Mystery
The Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world, Thou offer Thyself with perfect obedience and love to Thy Father, through the hands of the high priest, as the Victim that is to be immolated on the Cross ; every day also Thou offerest Thyself upon the alter by the hands of the priest, with the same obedience and love as our Victim always sacrificed and always living.
O sweet Victim, we adore Thee and we beg of Thee, through the intercession of Thy Holy Mother, the spirit of obedience and sacrifice.
Code:
                          The Fifth Joyful Mystery
The Finding of Our Lord in the temple
O Jesus, Thou withdrawest and leavest Joseph and Mary in tears to do the work of Thy Father; but Thou fillest them with joy when they find Thee in the midst of the Doctors amazed at Thy knowledge and wisdom. Veiled in the Eucharist, Thou impartest there divine teachings, and Thou fillest with joy those who seek Thee with their whole heart.
O hidden God !, we adore Thee and we beg of Thee, through the intercession of Thy Holy Mother, the grace of seeking Thee with a lively and persevering faith in the Sacrament of Thy love.

Thank you SO much for Father Corapi’s Virtual Rosary! This will enrich my prayer life tremendously.

The Rosary is beautiful.

Since I have a tendency to lose things I’m trying to find a good Rosary ring

YES!
I am a big fan of the Rosary. I keep one with me at all times. It was a big help to understand that I should stop trying to say the rosary “perfectly” and just say it. And that it is good to say the rosary anytime, anyplace that I have time (at home, in the car, while walking the dog, etc). And that it is o.k. to stop and start the rosary during the course of the day.

A Rosary ring is great to have. There are pamphlets with scripture, images and prayers of the rosary available. One of my favorites is from the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. You can order them and it will be cheaper than doing it yourself and more convenient to carry.

Videos and dvds of the rosary are helpful too.

My devotion to the Rosary has led to many spiritual blessings. LOVE IT! Best part of my day.
