Are you scared of dying?

Hi Rolleyes: I pray that you are saved and having a great day in the LORD Jesus Christ, as I am. The difference between “religion” and Christianity is “doing.” When you are “doing” you are not done. When you are done you are not doing. The LORD Jesus Christ did it all! I pray that you will come to this realization soon. [Colossians 2:8-13]. Grace and Peace,
QC
Thanks. Have a great day misguided fool. 🙂

Quickcat you are pushing the boundry of the forum rules regarding prostylizing.
Samson01 you too are pushing the boundry regarding charity.
Let’s take this to a new thread called religion and christianity.

I never used to be scared of dying as I believe in Jesus Christ and never really did anything so bad to condemn myself to hell.
Now, for the first time I am scared of dying.
Learning that so many small things can condemn oneself to hell makes me feel it is almost impossible to avoid.
Unless I remove all information from my brain, I am surely condemned.
I never thought, after about age 10 or 11 that I would go straight to Heaven but always assumed time in purgatory. Now it seems to me that I am struggling to get there.
I am losing my way.
I am not losing my belief.
Yesterday I was afraid of dying, because I knew that mean’t going straight to Hell where my lax beliefs would be accompanied with the souls of rapists, murderers, and other sinners.

Now with how weak handed the Church is and how obsurd it is to defend God’s very existance it’s clear nothing Judeo-Christian could be after life, really there is nothing to fear of death.

Dying alone and forgotten without having done anything in life that truly matters.
Perhaps it is your preception of alone, forgotten, and truly matters mean.
alone means without God, yes/no?
forgotten means no human ever remembers you, yes/no?
truly matters means living in the grace of God, yes/no?

Yea, you’re probably right. I place too much emphasis on the need for human affection from a family and human fulfillment and satisfaction. 😊

Living in the grace of God to it’s fullest gives the good things you speak of.
When looking at death only it is, not anything leading up to it, the most important thing is to be in God’s grace. And it is with this grace one can be at peace with death with the complete knowledge that this body we leave will once again be ours to empower. And the bestest part is that, this body will not at odds with our spirit but fully subject to it.No more struggle with temptations or sin.

Thanks. Have a great day misguided fool. 🙂
Thanks for your kind words, “Misguided fool.” As an ambassador [2 Cor. 5:20; 1 Cor. 15:1-4] for the LORD Jesus Christ I have the wonderful duty of sharing the gospel of the grace of God [Acts 20:24] with others. I firmly believe what the Holy Spirit had Paul write in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Colossians 2:8-13 and Ephesians 1:13. Thus, I have no fear of dying. I know with certainty that I will be face to face with the LORD Jesus Christ when I my life on earth comes to an end [2 Corthinians 5:8]. I can say with Paul, “To die is gain” [Philippians 1:21] and I am comforted by the truth expressed in the 116th Psalm - Ps 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Grace and Peace,

Hello Nelka. This is a long thread and I don’t know if you are still following, So anyhow, let me share. Sometimes I fear dying, and it is when I’m alone or lonely. My advice to you is to attend Mass as often as you can. Daily if possible. A Priest once told me when I was in fear of commiting a mortal sin,he said: "In order for a sin to be mortal, three things must happen first: 1) The act or thought must be bad. 2) You have to know it’s bad. 3) You have to want to do it.

Love God with your Heart and Soul. Your response to Him shows your Love for Him. If you haven’t felt it yet, you will discover that your Soul longs to be with your Creator. God Bless.

RE: Quickcat"s thanks

Thank YOU, Quickcat for your thanks & scripture quotes. Your response brought to mind, from the Litany of Humility, " from the fear of being ridiculed, deliver me Jesus".
Comments like yours strengthen my weakness.

Quote the apostle Paul: “…to die is gain.” Phil. 1:20

" My hovercraft is full of eels" lol.

I never used to be scared of dying as I believe in Jesus Christ and
He did conquered the grave for us.

This is something you should not worry too much about, worry is like an anchor attached to our soul that is so heavy it cannot possibly help us stay safe in the storm but rather drag us deeper down and much faster than the storm would have by itself.
Now, for the first time I am scared of dying.Learning that so many small things can condemn oneself to hell makes me feel it is almost impossible to avoid.
But that is already accounted for. Just Imagine life before Christ!
Unless I remove all information from my brain, I am surely condemned.
Absolute rubbish, have you forgotten about repentance? We repent for past and future sins.
I never thought, after about age 10 or 11 that I would go straight to Heaven but always assumed time in purgatory. Now it seems to me that I am struggling to get there.
We all struggle, try to focus simply on the blood coming down from His cross. It still flows today, just as His ever flowing stream of mercy does.
I am losing my way.
I am not losing my belief.
Life is about trying to keep on the path and not so much about traveling down it.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me and GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME.” Galatians 2:20

I thought Mortal sins were VERY serious… by what your saying I probably commit a mortal sin 3 times a week…
Where and when did God put a dividing line between “mortal” and “venial” sins. Blessings

Ro 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Ro 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.:)🙂
