One thing I love about being involved in the Holy Mass is that I can serve for special times like Christmas. I have to read at the Midnight Mass and then serve at the Mass at Dawn on Christmas Day.
What Form?I’ll be MCing at a Vigil Mass, Midnight Mass, and Mass at Dawn.![]()
All OF. Traditionally minded OF (so called benedictine arrangement, introit during the procession, altar boys in cassocks, incence, chanted dialogs, old choral works, probably including Palestrina and Victoria), but OF nonetheless. What Form?

Traditionally minded OF (so called benedictine arrangement, introit during the procession, altar boys in cassocks, incence, chanted dialogs, old choral works, probably including Palestrina and Victoria), but OF nonetheless.
I’m learning the EF, though.
And I’ll probably also be MC in all but name.I’m serving at the 4pm Vigil Mass at my parish. I’ll likely be thurifer or crucifer.
How did you come upon this role of MC (official or not)? And what do you do specifically? And I’ll probably also be MC in all but name.
I did. In the EF?I’m surprised no one noticed that I was serving as crucifer.
Yes.I did. In the EF?
I was trying to rationalize it, and then the thought came over me, “Has TrueLight been OF-converted?”I’m surprised no one noticed that I was serving as crucifer.
LOL! Then you were really good at holding your tongue…or fingers.I was trying to rationalize it, and then the thought came over me, “Has TrueLight been OF-converted?”
