Thanks! I appreciate the detailed answer.
Actual scientifically rigorous and meaningful data on membership and attendance is scarce as hens’ teeth for just about every religious group, not only the Catholic Church. The methodological problems are extremely difficult, prodigiously expensive and usually downright impossible to overcome. Thanks! I appreciate the detailed answer.
“Welcome to the Hotel California.”What if someone actively wanted to “leave?” Do they not have that choice?
That doesn’t make sense. Catholics are the original Christians, not the only Christians. But, he is no longer Christian because Catholics are the original Christians
Unless you expect a secular inquisition bursting into Churches, seizing baptismal records, and blacklisting everyone they find records for… I don’t think you need worry.LawyersGunsAndMoney:![]()
Ok, I’ll give a one reason, even though I originally said I would refrain.I must be coming off all wrong here. I’m not angry at laylow or trying to browbeat him/her. I’m genuinely trying to understand where she/he is coming from.
The Catholic church has admitted (correct me if I’m wrong) to the systematic cover-up of child abuse by priests in numerous parts of the world. This would classify them as a criminal organization. A person may wish to no longer have their name associated with such an organization.
This isn’t what the Church teaches. No, protestants are not Christians. Hence the word protest-ant one who protests.
This is simply incorrect. No, protestants are not Christians. Hence the word protest-ant one who protests.
:+1:t3::+1:t3::+1:t3:If you are not Catholic now you will be if you make it to heaven. There is only one God and only one church, not different versions. Make no mistake my friend. Christ founded only one church, the Catholic church.
Who teaches this? No, protestants are not Christians. Hence the word protest-ant one who protests.
I usually hear it from Evangelicals, not Catholics (in the opposite fashion of course).Who teaches this?
I’m one of the most faithful attendees of Mother Church that’s even in existence and to say Protestants aren’t Christian is an outrageous and filthy misrepresentation of Mother Church.Protestants and all other so called Christian communities are in direct conflict with the Church. The one church in which Christ Himself founded. They do not have access to the Sacraments and subsequently the Grace necessary for Salvation. One God one Church. There is only one Faith in heaven not different versions of it.
