Arizona Gov. signs bill requiring doctors inform of abortion reversal

PHOENIX, March 31 (UPI) – Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a controversial bill requiring that physicians inform women, who are receiving medically-induced abortions, that the procedure can be reversed.

The Republican governor said he is defending the “right to life.” He is a known pro-life advocate. Opponents of the bill state the claim that a procedure to reverse drug-induced abortions is not supported by medical science, according to The Arizona Republic.

The new law also prevents women from acquiring healthcare plans that include coverage for abortion from the federal marketplace, unless for instances of rape and incest.
