Kindly explain events of Armageddon, the Beast, Appearance of Anti-Christ, Gog and Magog, End Times, rapture, Second Coming of Jesus, gathering of the Israel; their sequence, significance and happening of events from OTBible, NTBible and Quran. Concept of Hindu “Kali Yuga” meaning dark ages also relates End Times.

I request my JWs friends , Protestants friends and others (Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus,Zoroastrians) as well to participate to clear up the concepts to end the confusion.

Clear up confusion?

Are you familiar with a chili feed? Where everyone who comes brings their own concoction of chili and dumps it in a big pot with the others. Good luck ending the confusion when you try to hear all the things that went into each recipe.

It’ll be interesting to see how this thread reads out.

Hi

I am an Ahmadi peaceful Muslim, don’t know much of the 32000 -plus denominations, may be if there were 3/4 I would have easily covered them. What are these “dispensationalists”?

Could you please, or they themselves explain it for me.

Well, thank you for adding your little to the recipe.

In fact I wanted to share even more from the Buddhists and Sikhs and perhaps many others, but I thought the title had already become very lenghty, so only a small pot would do, and I would leave others for some other occasion.

The problem of the homo sapiens are the same, whatever region, religion, race, nation they belong to. Now is the time that world has transformed into a GreaterVillage , let us try to tackle them collectively with a universal approach.

The PromisedMessiah 1838-1908 had this kind of approach.

Wikipedia is a site that people have access to and can update anything they want to, and a lot of the time, it can be quite unreliable. I suggest you look at better sources for the information you seek.

THE SECOND COMING
  1. During the disciples’ lifetime
    There are several passages in the gospels where Jesus says he will return in the disciples’ lifetime (Mark 13:30, Matthew 10:23, 16:28, 24:34, Luke 21:32, etc.).
The same expectation held during the period the apostle Paul wrote his letters. In 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 Paul says that the time is so short that believers should drastically change the way that they live. But Paul had a problem - some believers had died, so what would happen to them when Jesus returned?

Paul’s answer in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 shows that Paul expected that at least some of those he was writing to would be alive when Jesus returned - “we who are alive, and remain…” The same passage also indicates that Paul believed that those believers who had died remained “asleep in Jesus” until he returned.

However, as the delay in Jesus’ return grew longer, the location of Jesus’ kingdom shifted from earth to heaven and we later find Paul indicating that when believers die they will immediately “depart and be with Christ” (Philippians 1:23).

It is quite obvious that Jesus never intended to start any type of church structure since he believed he would return very shortly to rule his kingdom in person. It is also quite obvious that Jesus was wrong about when he was coming back.

Also Matthew 24:34 and Luke 21:32:

Mark 13:27-30 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Jesus is talking about the generation that would see the fig tree with no fruit restored. It is the generation that sees it restored long after Jesus has withered the fig tree and Jerusalem was destroyed. So he is talking about people living in the 20th century to see Israel restored, not people in first century who saw that fruitless fig tree already.

Where are the cities of Israel? They are scattered all over the world where the Ten Tribes have been scattered.

Matthew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

This one:

Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Was Stephen there?

Acts 7:55.59 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God…And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Was Judas standing there? When might he taste of death for the last time?

Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

So these are all easily explained to see no contradiction, Jesus is not late.

The above is a prophesy of the bible about the coming of Muhammad. It has been fulfilled in his life time. It was Muhammad who raised a banner and called the people towards Islam. There is proof in the Quran about Muhammad being helped by the angels.
People from many walks of like from different countries gathered around him and led the most successful mission. The two great empires perished under the feet of the companions of Muhammad.

It happens after the fig tree is restored, which didn’t start happening until the 20th century. In Mohammed’s time it was still withered from destruction by Rome.

It also doesn’t happen until the world has heard about Jesus. As I’ve said before, Native Americans and many others didn’t even know about Jesus until a few hundred years ago.

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

But now in the 21st century it will be hard to find someone who doesn’t know something about the Jesus story, so that is a sign the end is near.
 
Old Testament prophecy - Daniel 7:13

And the visions during the night continued, i saw
One like a son of man coming,
on the clouds of Heaven;
When he reached the Ancient One and was presented before him,
He received dominion, glory, and kingship;
nations and people of every language serve him,
His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not be taken away,
the kingship shall not be destroyed.

It is clear from Daniels dream that he is in Heaven when having the vision both by the above quote and the surrounding context of the whole passage. So when Jesus talks about ‘coming’ on a cloud and the ‘coming’ of the kingdom he is directly quoting Daniel’s coming to Heaven.

Example of one such quote :

Matthew 26:64 - Jesus talking to the Sanhedrin when on trial

From now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of Heaven

or again Mark 13:26 - Jesus talking to disciples

And then you will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory, and he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

And there are many more times Jesus quotes about the coming of the kingdom and being seen to come on the clouds.

What he is doing is quoting from Daniel and all of the Bible savvy Jews knew that. Daniel was having his vision in Heaven seeing one LIKE a son of man riding the clouds COMING to the Ancient One who gives him an everlasting Kingdom.

The ‘coming’ Jesus refers to is a quote from Daniel about COMING (ie going from our perspective) to Heaven to receive an everlasting kingdom.

In fact this did happen not long after he spoke those words.

Mark 16:19
So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them, was taken up into Heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God. But they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.

or

Acts 1:6
When they had gathered together they asked him, Lord are you at this time going to restore the Kingdom to Israel He answered them, 'It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. When he said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.

Then two angels announce that the disciples have just seen Jesus being taken up to Heaven and he will someday return the same way.

The disciples then go back to Jerusalem and receive the coming of the holy spirit on Pentecost Sunday. They then go out from Jerusalem with the power of the Holy Spirit to preach to message of Jesus ‘to the ends of the earth’ and the Christian Church has continued this til today, being faithful to Jesus’ request.

I am not of the belief that any book is directly, unmitigated from God, but the bible is quite clear that the kingdom has been given and Christ did ‘come’ on the clouds to receive it as quoted from the prophet Daniel in the old testament. And this happened within the generation of the apostles. It’s happened already as Jeus said it would.

The second coming, from a Christian perspective will occur when Christs message has been preached to the ends of the earth which you could argue is about now. That Christian message has had setbacks and been perverted by some groups but it is still being preached by his Church today.
 
btw,

we can see at the end of the Gospel of John that some Christians erroneously thought that John would not die before the second coming.

The words at the end of that gospel seek to clear up the confusion and explain where that thinking came from.

As there appears to be two endings in the Gospel of John, one after the other, it suggests John’s followers added the above passage to clear up the confusion shortly after John’s death.

We can deduce this by the final paragraph of the Gospel …

"It is this disciple who testifies to these things and has written them, and WE know that HIS testimony is true. … "

Jesus did not think he would pop up to heaven and come back straight away because he had just established a new covenant with God’s people asking them to participate in the Eucharist as a rememberence to himself.

He also gave the keys to the kingdom of David to Peter so that what he would loose and bind on earth would be considered loose and bound in heaven which is a continuation of the throne of Moses that exercised authority in the old Testament. And he had told his followers that they will receive the spirit and they should then preach the message to the ends of the earth, forgiving sins in his name and that he would be with them always til the end of the age.

Why bother with all of that if you are planning to be back straight away ?

This prophesy of the prophet Daniel is about Muhammad. Muhammad is the son of man. Jesus is not the son of man. Jesus did not receive any dominion, glory, kingship. Nations and people of every language did not serve Jesus. But it was all done to Muhammad. He had the glory, the kingship, the dominion. And people of every nation came and joined him and served him.

Muhhamad has nothing to do with the Abrahamic faith and the OT planten.

Jesus calls himself, THE son of Man, throughout the whole NT as a direct reference to Daniel’s prophecy saying he saw one LIKE A SON OF MAN.
Jesus quotes from and fulfils the Jewish prophets during his ministry and of course actually comes from the Jewish tradition being a ‘son of David’.

He talks about receiving Kingship and being seen to come on the clouds many times and the gospels back this up with the description of Jesus ascending to Heaven on the clouds.

The OT talks of a Messiah who will receive kingship for peoples of nations throughout the whole world. With over 2 billion Christians today, this is Jesus - Even Muhammad claims Jesus is the Messiah.

Efforts to try and make the above fit Muhammasd are a desperate attempt to write him into the Jewish biblical tradition. He doesn’t belong there the same way as Joseph Smith of the mormans doesn’t belong there. Any attempt to see this as Muhammad is pretty sad and yet funny at the same time.

No one mentions Muhammad in the OT and with good reason - he is not from God.
 
And Daniel speaks of one like a son of man receiving kingship and dominion from the ancient one in Heaven, not someone on earth knee deep in blood killing Chrsitan, Jews and pagans for his own advancment. There have been many who have advanced their own cause by killing people and disobeying the commandment of God - Thou shall not kill.

Whilst you are reducing the REAL son of man, Jesus, to less than Mohammed, you are not doing yourself any favours.
There are 2 things in progress here
  1. Mohammed is probably getting hit with pitchforks and swimming in lava by now for what he has done to God.
  2. Your doing a fine job of joining him there, i would pretty quickly and swiftly start praying to Jesus for forgiveness for the falseness you are saying against him
Also, many nations follow Jesus, i think at last count it was more than 1.8 billion… many more than Mohammed.
Also, the only way Mohammed got to the top was by spreading murder, lies, having sex with children… the list goes on… and you called this man glorious… hahahhaha

Jesus only spread love, cured people of their ailments, taught God’s true teachings, not some made up rubbish to suit his purposes, he had the power to forgive and performed numerous other miracles. Mohammed was never prophesied in the bible, he never performed miracles, he never loved or spread love.
I think you should really examine your follower, he sounds like a bit of a scoundrel to me.
Remember, Jesus is God, so be careful what you say about him.

It is quite confusing, Jesus being the son of man and the son of David and son of God and son of Joseph the carpentar and son of Mary… Whose son is Jesus?? Please tell me the right name, one name…
