This resolution will not help anybody. It cannot erase the past. And the only people that will be hurt by this resolution are American troops and Iraqi citizens.

Customs delays at the Turkish border sparked by this resolution are already impacting food stores.

There is no question, at least to me, that this is a poorly timed and perhaps irrelevant resolution. There is one problem: It’s true.

Yes, it’s true.
This resolution has been floating around for 20 yeas.
The time to make it was at the end of WWI.
So, if it is the decision of the congress to bring this up now.
If it is the decision of Nancy Pelosi to bring this up just when we need Turkey the most.
Then she is forcing the hand of those who have good conscience with regard to our troops to vote no.
Even though this is true, it can only hurt our troops and never help anyone.
Yes, it’s a forced lie.
But in this case, what is the alternative?
