Artists Install Anti Trump Living Statues Around DC

Looking at these poorly constructed statues, I do not thing these so called artists have a clue in what goes into making a real statue. Visiting Saint-Gaudens, they take you on a tour and the statue of the Black Soldiers on Boston Common took about 14 years to complete.

They are “living statues”, as in, people coating themselves with gold paint and posing as a statue for an extended time. Some street performers specialize in this art form.

They aren’t actual sculpted, constructed statues.
 
Not sure who this is intended to convince. The population of DC is overwhelmingly anti-Trump already.
 
It’s just an amusing first amendment tourist attraction, if there are any tourists venturing out these days in view of the nasty summer heat + violence + half the normal stuff probably being closed.

Probably right. Whenever i go into the city the only time I see pro-Trump shirts or hats is near tourist stuff. This should make for some interesting interactions.
 
The people who actually live there know better than to wear MAGA stuff around town unless they’re at a MAGA gathering. They don’t want to get beat up.
Although as you said, the city, like all cities, skews liberal.

Makes one think of James Bond’s " Goldfinger". Good so they can only stand in same position for so long. They plan to do more of these around the country.

They can tear down just about any statue they want to but somehow feel we should look at their living statues.
