As a Catholic, how important was it for you to find a house with a Church nearby?

Me too. I have a parish right down the street from me, but I actually belong to a different one about 10 minutes away from my house.

When me moved a few years back, we were living about 10 minutes (walk) from my church. We almost bought a flat only a few yards from the church (and that was an attractive feature for me), but ended up in a house less than 5 mins walk from my new church (same town, different parish).

I really appreciate the proximity of our house to the church. It makes everything so easy, really. I wouldn’t have wanted to live miles and miles from my church.

I feel so blessed to live right in the neighborhood where my Jesuit Parish is located. The Ignatiun spiritually had helped me be even stronger in my love of the Faith. When I visit my daughter in Santa Monica, I am fortunate to attend St. Monica Parish. We have 4 full-time priests and 2 part time. It was one of the retired Jesuits that helped my return to the Church a decade ago. I wish everyone had the opportunity to learn about the Faith from such learned teachers as I do.

We live a couple blocks from my church. We didn’t plan this, it just happened that way. However, if we were to move, I’d want to live a close distance from my new church.

When I grew up, we also lived a few blocks away from our church.
