Ash Wednesday is coming up. Was curious if ya’ll leave your ashes on your foreheads all throughout the day…and what do you plan on giving up this Lenten season

I am giving up red meat. While I do appreciate the sacrificial nature of giving up something, I love more the idea of doing something that will greatly enhance my spiritual life and draw me nearer to my Savior. So I will pray the rosary daily and read only Catholic material and the Sacred Scriptures. I absolutely love the Lenten season.
I’ve batted a few things back and forth.I really don’t know what to give up yet…![]()
That’s interesting. The priest at my new parish is Polish (just came to the States a few months ago). I wonder if he’ll do the same thing…No, because the priest in our parish doesn’t put ashes on our forehead. He does it like they do in Poland, which is to sprinkle ashes on top of your head (yes on your hair) and not traced with a cross on the forehead.
God bless!
