Here’s a whole thread where people are attacking Islam and forcing Muslims to answer for crimes committed by other Muslims…and Ishareyoudecide is pointing out that by this logic, Christians should have to answer for the crimes of Christians too.

Of course you all don’t want to, but you shouldn’t demand that of other religions if you won’t hold yourselves to the same standard.

Once you admit that you could be wrong, then saying “the truth is its own defense” doesn’t have much meaning. Maybe you could all be wrong about what Islam teaches…in that case, what’s the defense?

on some of the details… any one of us, including you, could be wrong on occasion…

on the whole of Islam… those who deny the false religion built on violence… and decry the false prophet Mohammed, and reject the Koran as a work against the Loving, Merciful God the Father… nope… not wrong on that.

You deny the divinity of Jesus Christ… and from that point on, you walk in error… thankfully the merciful One Triune God (a divine mysteryh neither we nor you can explain) still loves you and wishes you accept Him … unless heaven is already yours.(?)

I have questions about the string of beads I’ve seen Muslims holding and seem to be praying on.

What exactly are they; what are they used for?
Are they similar to a Catholic Rosary?
Do they pre-date or post-date the Rosary?

The beads that Muslims carry are called tespih (TESS-peehh) and consist of 33 or 99 beads. On each bead is prayed a name of Allaah. Muslims believe that Allaah has revealed to man His 99 names (attributes), tradition says the llama knows a 100th.

BTW: To IshareYoudecide, Christians do not believe in three gods, but rather one God. Any Muslim or non-religion affiliated person worth his salt knows that…It’s about time that I-share-You-decide…

This is fair. If you do not judge I won’t judge. Calling it an Islamic act is the issue. Call it criminal act instead. So, I will do the same, call Hitler a Christian Terrorist. I never hear the WESERN MEDIA (Christians) call any criminal act a Christian Terrorist!!! Why? I can show you pictures of Christian killing each others and others (non Christians). For example: The media TOLD you that MUSLIMS were behind 9/11 and of course you believed it 200% and get excited! I didn’t believe it.
I will believe it if a Muslim come to my home and kill my Christian wife (we lived in Algeria for 18 months), UAE (1 year).
France (Muslim neighborhood) for 4 years and now I am in the US and no one attacked my wife. If it happened and I see it with my eyes, I will try to protect them first, then I will believe the media. When my wife went to Algeria (1998) the SU emabssy scared her to death about the terrorist in Algeria…now, she doesn’t believe a thing in CNN, Fox News and all the rest…After 9/11 people who believed the MEDIA (they had no idea what is ISLAM) started accusing Muslims, most of them are racists and hateful. But Muslims are still Muslims, they are proud, defended Islam, and many non Muslims converted (even Catholics). I can talk all day about the 9/11…but this is enough…

To All: You advertise LOVE and FORGIVENESS in your Churches, so show us how lovely and forgiving you are, this is the ONLY why to have good results.

I joined here to learn the Catholic BIBLE, and I will not convert to Catholism, and I am not asking to leave it either.

I have something to share I would not hesitate to post it, if I see somehting WRONG I will do my best to get my POST there as an OPINION…no hard feelings. I think it’s a very good question, and it has to do with politics being mistaken for religion in my opinion.

In the past, Jews and Muslims were more close in brotherhood by far. Jews could be safe in Muslim lands; they were not safe in Christian lands. This was true for the entire history of Christian rule before World War II…where Christians, not Muslims, were responsible for killing millions of Jews. I do not care if Hitler was a Christian or not; the fact of the matter is, most Europeans were Christian, and most of the people who cooperated with Hitler were undoubtedly Christian.

But after world war II, Christian-dominated countries found it politically expedient to put on a facade of friendship with Jews…because it helped them to divide the strategically important Muslim-controlled oil reserves. It was also a good way to pretend that Europe and America’s Christians really weren’t responsible for the horrorific murder of Jews during the war.

The truth is that it is wrong to attack Jews over Israeli policy and it’s wrong to claim that Christians are one-sided in favor of Jews. If Christians were really on the side of Jews, they wouldn’t be encouraging the radicals in Israel to cause more violence and hatred by pursuing unjust policies and killing innocent people. But because it’s mainly Jews that will suffer the consequences of this behavior, the Christian-backed western powers really don’t care about the long term effects of the policy.

The truth in my opinion is that Jewish people are being victimized again by Western, Christian interests. As with any group, some individual Jews are more than happy to participate with the Western mission…and there are also those who resist it and favor peace. Muslims, Christians, and Jews all have to work together and remember that in religion, they are brothers, in order to stop the killing. That’s my opinion.

Having read the entire thread with all of its questions and answers, my best answer to the question of Islam is to pray the Rosary as requested by Our Lady of Fatima.

The combination of an Islamic name and Islamic devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is a great attraction to Moslems. God is writing straight with crooked lines, as we will see. Fatima is a part of Heaven’s Peace Plan. It is hope for the world.

The Rosary

At Lepanto, the Victory over the Moslems was won by the faithful praying the Rosary. Even though they had superior numbers, the Turks really were overmatched. Blessed Padre Pio, the Spiritual Father of the Blue Army, said: “The Rosary is the weapon,” and how right he was!

The Battle of Lepanto was at first celebrated liturgically as “Our Lady of Victory.” Later, the feast of October 7th was renamed “Our Lady of the Rosary” and extended throughout the Universal Church by Pope Clement XI in 1716 (who canonized Pope Pius V in 1712).

And with that we are back to Fatima, Portugal where Our Lady, when asked her name, said: “I am the Lady of the Rosary.” At Fatima, Our Lady taught us to pray the Rosary every day. Heaven presented its peace plan at Fatima and truly gave us hope for the world. Conversions were promised at Fatima: the conversion of sinners; the conversion of Russia; and what also appears to be the conversion of Islam. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

You are right. The biblical Jesus is different than the Quranic Jesus. The Quran Jesus was good to his mother, the virgin Mary peace be upon her as he said:

Hitler could not possibly have been called a Christian terrorist. He was most assuredly not a Christian.
But most assuredly those people who crashed planes into the WTC were Muslims. Hence they WERE Muslim terrorists.
I realize that there are many Muslims who have never commited a terrorist act in their lives. But if they are not for the behavior of the radical Islamic terrorists, it would be well for them to state that plainly and publicly whenever possible.

Now, on this point I could be wrong as I cannot quote the Quran which I have read, but I seem to recall Muslims are not to take the part of any non-Muslim against a fellow Muslim even if the Muslim is doing evil against the non-Muslim. Again, I could be wrong. If so I apologize for my misapprehension. But if it is not so, then I reiterate, it’s time for the righteous Muslims to declare their erring brother radical Muslims the terrorists that they are.

After carefully perusing your unintelligible post I can only conclude that you are a Muslim who desires to deflect any criticism of Islam. You may well be a pro alter ego. Tell you what, let’s go to Saudi Arabia and have a Catholic Mass. In public. What do you think will happen? We both know. I have been to Muslim websites and heard their ranting in person. I suggest you visit www.memri.org. This is the main problem with Islam today. Muslims refuse to face up to their real problems and blame everyone else. This leaves the impression that you can justify any terrorist act and often do. You will notice we are tiring of this and don’t buy the religion of peace thing anymore. I suggest you do some soul searching.
