If you think Itwin did a better job, go to his thread. If you wish to continue scolding me because I will not be apart of your Church because it was the first one, then that sure is a way to get people to join the Church, isn’t it?

You know this is not true. No one has scolded you for not being a part of the Catholic Church. You’ve tried to establish several boundaries and then cross the boundary yourself.

You say you desire to discuss theology intellectually, and ignore any point you can’t argue against, or seem to have an answer to. You use a source to deny Catholicism, and then disagree with parts of your own source. I was serious when I asked, ‘if you find something agreeable in your own mind, it’s true and authoritative, no matter the source?’

You’ve contradicted yourself, and Pentecostalism, and you’ve shown seemingly other motives behind your ‘discussion.’

I’m not going to give in. It was a misunderstanding. Please stop trying to turn a positive thread into another sparring session.

KingJohn, glad you are here and glad you are asking questions. Seek the truth. Turn yourself completely over to God and ask Him to show you the truth. Never stop seeking the truth.

Are there pentencostal churches all over the world? How does the pentecostal church ensure that all preachers are interpreting scripture the same way and teaching the same belief? If you walk into a pentecostal church in another country you are visiting, how do you know what they believe or teach if you cannot understand their language?

Yes. Pentecostalism has a total of 271 million followers worldwide.

Can’t understand their languages? Pick up a book and learn it?

It would probably really depend on what sect you go to. Trinitarians would most likely stick to the same story, oneness completely disregard the Holy trinity and throw it out.

You seem to be casting accusations at Catholics, and stating what we believe. We’re not going to ‘give in.’ That is the ‘sparring’ I see.

One subject at a time, I’d be glad to give you biblical support of any Catholic doctrine; however, I am not going to sit by and accept ‘it’s not scriptural’ according to a private interpretation. Because you disagree with an interpretation does not make something ‘not scriptural.’

Also, the topic of the thread is ‘Ask a pentecostal.’ You seem to be picking and choosing what you’re willing to address and what you’re not. You sometimes ask for your time to ask questions, even though you don’t want to ‘debate, or convert anyone.’ What are your motivations?

Give me your scriptural proof, at this juncture in my morning, I really don’t care. I’l care later when I can accurately open my eyes…

Secondly, you repeatedly quote messages OVER and OVER again even when they are misunderstandings, admitted misunderstandings. So cut me some slack, ok?
