Is this “open letter” authentic?

The following is a letter from Zeena LaVey to Michael Aquino in which our sister tells all:

RADIO WEREWOLF
Ministry of Propaganda & Public Enlightenment
30 December 1990/XXVAS

…some excerpts…

“…you should be aware that as of 30 April, 1990 (Anno XXV) I officially and ritually ended my position as Church of Satan representative-defender and daughter of Anton LaVey. This ritual brought all contact between myself and the Church of Satan, including my unfather, to a complete cessation…While I have no regrets in my battle with the forces of ignorance, and my own unswerving dedication to my religion has only grown, I could no longer defend such an ungrateful and unworthy individual as the so-called Black Pope.”

“My unfather should never have carelessly tampered with the authentic forces of darkness that he now idiotically believes are his own creation. In fact, many times he has implied that he regrets opening the ‘Pandora’s box’ of Satanism. I have seen first-hand what his insincere and cynical approach to these nameless cthonic powers can do to one shaky and uncertain ego. I was born a Satanist; my unfather was raised in the mundane world of humankind where he remains. He unwittingly served as the agent of the true daemonic energy needed to sire me as a genuine magical child.”

“Anton LaVey has degraded his own claimed religion, his family, his supporters too often and too ignorantly. He created a monster in me, for perhaps I am too serious about all this for the likes of the High Priest who would prefer movie stars and ‘expensive’ restaurants to any meaningful magical experience.”

What’s up with all this? What is Zeena and Nik Schreck up to lately? Is the “Werewolf Order” still around? :whacky: 😃

I just remember some of this “controversy” from their appearances on the “Bob Larson” radio show from the late 80s, early 90s. I also have an old Sally Jessy R. program from Halloween 1989 that featured Zeena and Nik vs. fundamentalists Dave Hunt and Joanna Michaelson. Weird wild stuff. This was at the height of the fundamentalist Christian “hysteria” about "Satanic Panic" of the 1980s, early 90s. Evangelical Christian magazine “Cornerstone” (Bob/Gretchen Passantino, Jon Trott, et al) also debunked this "Satanic ritual abuse" in their well-researched articles.

I’m not continuing this thread, or likely anything on this site again. Sorry to everyone who really had questions and who were atleast respectful. But, it seems a lot of others would rather just spew hate and lies (can’t blame an animal for being stupid.) I’m not going to just defend against attacks my whole time on here. You can mainly blame Chris LaRock for this. Hateful though he is. it’s not worth my time and energy if no one cares what I have to say. Humans really are demons.
If humans really are demons then you are condemning yourself - unless you are a spirit being 😉 . What did you expect? Really? I’ve been to Satanic forums. I was assaulted many times. Get real.

MW

I kind of hope you are right now Chris LaRock, cause if there is a Hell, I’ll make sure you suffer dog.
Correction - you will make no one suffer. The Holy Spirit in Chris and the holy angels will be with him and will repel any of your magickal attacks. Great Archangel Michael, defend Chris in battle against the forces of darkness.

Your magick is nothing against Jesus Christ.

MW

You’re just mad that I exposed the lie the church of satan has been telling for 40 years. LaVey did worship satan as a real entity, but only told a few people in higher-up positions within his church.

I’m sorry you don’t have the integrity to address this issue.
:yup: :yup: :yup: :ouch: :ouch:

OK, I’ll bite…why “magic” with a k (magick)? Is it a way to make things seem more…myztikal?

Remember: Satan hates standard spelling conventions!

You are a liar and a disease
Pot calling the kettle black
The day you die is the day the world lives.
How Satanistic of you 😉
You represent everything that is wrong with soceity, you are the devil, not me, not LaVey, not anyone else. “Arguing with a fool proves there are two.” Such is the case with you. You’ve proved nothing, you’ve lied. That is your nature. You are a lie.
:crying:

Seriously - I didn’t think you believed in any devil 😉

And you’ve not refuted what he wrote. Give the alternative viewpoint instead of just spouting childish insults. I thought you were a big boy. I guess we were wrong.

magic - illusion, tricks, neutral
magick - sorcery with darkness as the source

Two different things.

Ahhh. There we are. I learn something new every day. Thank you very much, MW.

I never thought I’d meet anyone with such a disrespectful, infuriatingly arrogant attitude. I know what a real Christian is. I’m not intimidated by his pathetic and contradictory substitute.
It’s called factual reporting - you know - like a newspaper article. You don’t even know what your own faith teaches (as shown by Chris). How can you know what a real Christian is? And you call him pathetic

MW

Ah, you’re welcome. Unfortunately, I’ve seen both. And both I find repellant. Whenever you see that spelling with a “k” it means sorcery, witchcraft, etc. is involved. Silly humans trying to subvert the will of God. Very, very silly.

Peace…

Boy, this thread degenerated quickly.

Not that I’m a LaVeyan Satanist but if anyone is interested in what “The Satanic Bible” and “The Satanic Rituals” books say, you can view them at www.scribd.com. Just type in the titles, and read for yourself.

They’re online free.

But I must warn you, they’re a terribly boring read. That website also has some good Catholic books too. 🤷

That is a horribly one-sided answer. Stop stereotyping and spreading misinformation please. That is like me saying that the Eucharist is what brainwashes so many people in the Church to worship their God of Israel, but I’d never be so ignorant to assume that just because I don’t understand or believe in it that it is dark.

The k spelling originated with Crowley (yes, a terrible person, but before he became addicted to drugs a powerful magician). K is the 11th number of the alphabet and has special numerological value. So the k was used to different stage magic from ritual magick. Not all practitioners use this spelling though…as with everything in Paganism, it varies.

Magick does not have a source of darkness. The forces of magick, of the natural world, are neutral. It is our intent that determines whether it is moral or not.

Yet you admit that the k was used to differentiate the two. Oh, I see, you object to the sorcery part and darkness. I see.

Nice history. And what does that add to the discussion?
Magick does not have a source of darkness. The forces of magick, of the natural world, are neutral. It is our intent that determines whether it is moral or not.
And now who is one-sided? Let me guess - you believe that a person can use white magick which is acceptable? Magick, at its core, is an attempt by the practitioner to manipulate energies to get something, usually selfish. Instead of relying on the power of God and His will, the practitioner seeks his own way to solve his problems even though he is limited in his foresight.

That’s the problem. A practitioner may think they are doing something good out of practicing sorcery. The problem is that only God knows all outcomes and what is best for someone, not the practitioner.

You and I will not find common ground on this issue. My worldview is pretty clear on the use of magick and stems from my understanding of the Watchers who (against God’s will) shared sorcery with humans. And for this they were punished. It also stems from the experience of pagans, Luciferians and theistic Satanists who use magick to enslave people and subvert their minds, which are both immoral reasons.

If God would’ve wanted humans to practice magick and manipulate these so-called “neutral” energies, He would have fully instructed the first man, Adam and his wife Eve. As it is, He did not. That knowledge only resided in Heaven.

Do you admit that people do use magick for evil purposes?

MW

EDIT:

By the way, you have read the Biblical passages which explicitly state that sorcery was forbidden for God’s people, haven’t you? That may not mean much for you if you are not a Christian or a Jew, but it certainly has merit with us. God said don’t do it.

This is exactly why I was happy to see a Satanist willing to discuss what he believes; because so many people DON’T know.

Whether LeVey actually blastphemed the Holy Spirit and sought to venerate the Devil in form, I do not know, but, what he believed and did is not relevant to what Selkis does. Think of it this way: Luther is to LeVey as is Modern Day Lutheran is to Selkis. Just because Luther believed some things (Perpetual Virginity of Mary, Pope as the Anti-Christ) doesn’t mean that it is binding on Lutherans today. This is going with the belief that LeVey did indeed worship the Devil directly rather than inderectly, in that by chosing not God, one may automatically chose the Devil.

I think Selkis is the posterchild, too, for Satanism. He was willing to be polite and answer everybody’s questions, providing they were charitable, and whether by obtuse ignorance or merely not reading what people posted, there were a lot people were not understanding about Satanism. It’s not about devils and the Dragnet movie concept of People Against Goodness And Normalcy, it’s about ME! Here is why Selkis is a great Satanist: when the one Poster posted what he knew and/or found out about Satanism (I didn’t see a link), Selkis became defensive. He wished ill on that Poster, but, I believe after one warning. That is exactly what the rules/commandments for Satanism state. Satanists do not believe in charity and tolerance, especially not for an external factor/reward. It is about what is best for them while they can be productive members of society. Basically, if you leave them alone (as you have no business to do anything to or with them), they will leave you alone…generally. There are those who claim to be Satanists who may believe they are worshiping the Devil directly and kill in his name; these people may be psychopaths who have a mental disorder.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still Catholic, I think we should all pray for Selkis, but, we should all stop trying to antagonize him and telling him what he believes; we don’t like it when others do that to us, it’s almost as if it’s part of human nature to be this way.

His whole agenda, I believe, was to try to get us all to know, WHETHER WE BELIEVE IT OR NOT, but, just KNOW, so that we may learn something and not propegate lies or untruths and not spread ignorance, that his branch of Satanism and some Satanists in general are athiests. ARE ATHIESTS!!!

Some may not have any reason to know this; if this is the case, there are other threads, one didn’t need to click and nothing was compelling anybody to post in this thread. If somebody opened this thread just to contradict Selkis, then you have missed his point.

Again, I encourage all to pray for Selkis, but, in the meantime, whether you believe what he says or think he is lying with an alternate agenda, look at his posts, see where he’s coming from, get into his head and see how he believes things and WHY he believes things. Not everybody has the same zeitgeist as we. Please accept that and see how others see things.

GO GOD!

…Do unto others as they do unto you = If a man smites you on one cheek, smash him on the other. It’ not complicated.
Indeed, the quote from The Satanist Bible that’s seized upon by alienated, feeling powerless people (mostly young males) as justification for acting like a jerk. Its seemingly potent, but is actually superficial beyond belief, a cribbing from Friedrich Nietzsche, Ayn Rand, and Max Stirner–mixed in with black-robed anti-Catholic occultism–the sort of a religion one would expect from a carnie.

Most practitioners don’t divide what they do into categories of black and white. Magick is so artistical that is hard to find one definition that fits. Prayer is a form of magick. Magick is the art and science of working with nature to produce change. Magick can be seen as ritualized prayer. Most practitioners do work with God, and they see this force as omnipresent throughout the Universe. There are people who use magick for sick purposes, yes. But there are those who use it to help also. Christians use prayer for selfish purposes as well. In Wicca, you cannot attempt to control anyone’s free will, hurt anyone, as in cursing, or use magick to get money unless you are failing financially. Sometimes we just perform magick rituals in a religious sense, just to honor and give thanks to the Divine Source. The strongest magick arises out of compassion. We are supposed to enter the circle with “Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.” Love is the core of all my magick.
That’s the problem. A practitioner may think they are doing something good out of practicing sorcery. The problem is that only God knows all outcomes and what is best for someone, not the practitioner.
Then why bother praying? If everything is destined by God, then why bother praying or trying to accomplish anything at all in your life? God helps those who helps themselves. The act of magick/prayer could be the way destined by God to bring about the change.
It also stems from the experience of pagans, Luciferians and theistic Satanists who use magick to enslave people and subvert their minds, which are both immoral reasons.
I agree that these are highly immoral reasons. Satanic views seem really selfish to me, as they only focus on the material and what our minds percieve to be real.
If God would’ve wanted humans to practice magick and manipulate these so-called “neutral” energies, He would have fully instructed the first man, Adam and his wife Eve. As it is, He did not. That knowledge only resided in Heaven.

I think the story of Adam and Eve are purely symbolic, but they lost contact with God and were punished. Part of that lost knowledge, the knowledge of God, could have been the sciences of magick. And people probably do use magick for bad purposes. They will learn their lessons though, as magick that does not arise out of compassion will consume you. But in Wicca it is frowned up. That is why magick is a neutral force. Like knives…it can be used to cut bread or stab someone.
You and I will not find common ground on this issue.
I didn’t think so either.😃 Agree to disagree.

Seen it, not impressed.
And I’ve seen Anton Lavey. I wasn’t impressed. A young man who guarded his home had stories to tell. I cannot repeat as it would be detraction, even about a satanist priest.
When Lavey showed up at an outdoor concert of Indian music some years ago, people were saying “oh no” under their breath as if he were the high school bad boy. No one was impressed. No one took him seriously. It was simply a drag to see him because of what he stood for. I think he even had a bit part in “Rosemary’s Baby”.
As for Marilyn Manson, he is not just “for show”. To quote Fr. Corapi once more, “The devil’s favorite color is grey.” There is no political correctness regarding satan. Zero tolerance for evil, for devil worship.
Satan’s power is nothing against our Lord Jesus Christ. And I daresay that Lavey had about as much intellectual/real insight into the true nature of Satan as Hollywood movie makers, complete with ridiculous costumes and Halloween horns. ooo scary…give me a break.

30 Days: Don’t you ever feel afraid of the demon?
Fr. Amorth: Me, for that animal? It is he who should be afraid of me; I act in the name of the Lord of the world. But as for him, he is nothing but God’s monkey.
