why many Christians hate Islam & Muslims so much ? Why they spread hate , use nastsy words against Muslims beloved Prophet (p) ?

Do you think it was a teaching of Jesus or Mother Mary ? ( peace & blessings of God be upon them ) . If not , do u think their hateful act is giving Christianity a bad name ?

Its not a teaching of the church thats for sure. There is a lot of confusion about Islam, and i am one who is confused. I dont understand how muslims can claim to be so peaceful, but the Koran they hold so dear tells them to kill non-believers. So, with terrorism, and no real muslim source to teach people the difference, people get hateful. I would still like to know from you, what goes through your mind when you read a verse that tells you to force a non-muslim to convert? please answer its really not that hard.

Was it right of the pope to bless the crusades where there was rapine, pillage, plunder and mass murder?

Explain how these activities are of God and represent His will.

Salaam.

Do you not know the history of Mohammed who spread Islam by the sword? Same crimes were committed.

The Pope called for help because Islam was trying to overtake Europe. The Holy Crusaders defeated Muslims army, so do you still believe Allah has truly given you world domination? Muslims lost. Instead of taking over the world, they are blowing themselves up and killing innocent people, their own muslims brothers and sisters.

The crusaders got out of hand and killed themselves also.

Hi coleraine,

I have a question about Genesis 17:17-22:
Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety? And Abraham said to God, "If only Ishmael might live under your blessing! Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year. When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.

Is it possible or logical to assume that God would establish a covenant later on with Ishmael descendants (i.e., Muhammed)?, can I take that as a solid proof that there is no way for Muhammed to be God’s prophet because there is no covenant with Ishmael?

Muslims are hateful also. Don’t think your people are innocent. Open your eyes.

Return love when you are hated and not only will that be health to your own soul, but it will also convert the hateful.

Well Salaam to you, but I am not a Muslim, and you seem to be presuming that I am.
The Pope called for help because Islam was trying to overtake Europe. The Holy Crusaders defeated Muslims army, so do you still believe Allah has truly given you world domination?
I am not Muslim, and I don’t believe that.
You seem to have made a presumption here.
Instead of taking over the world, they are blowing themselves up and killing innocent people, their own muslims brothers and sisters.
Yes, there is madness.
Yes, there is sickness unto the soul in these “martyrs” as they say they are. I wouldn’t call them martyrs, I’d call them killers. :stretcher:
The crusaders got out of hand and killed themselves also.
Your quid-pro-quo analogy is out of context and nothing to do with this day and age.
If you are going to point the finger make sure your hands are clean
Once again, you make your presumptions. 👍
What to do?

I don’t think we should turn this thread into another argument between the Christian and Muslim users of this forum. This thread could be used to create better relations between the various members of different faiths.

With this in mind, I would like to offer my answer to this question:
why many Christians hate Islam & Muslims so much ? Why they spread hate , use nastsy words against Muslims beloved Prophet (p) ?
Many Western people hate Islam because they see the atrocities committed by Muslims throughout the world. I think the terrorist attacks of 9/11 really changed the way people perceived Islam.

Also, the Quran itself has a negative attitude towards non-believers and even exhorts muslims to kill those who do not follow Islam. This is why many people regard Islam to be a hateful belief system. However, I don’t blame these verses for the widespread hatred of Islam; I place the blame entirely on the terrorists and suicide bombers. They are the ones you should be annoyed with, because they are giving your religion a bad name.

Western people also have issues with the way women are treated in Islamic countries. We hear the stories of the so-called “honour killings” in Pakistan, and of the legalised discrimination in Saudi Arabia; and such blatant discrimination is totally alien to western minds.

Some Westerners also resent the way that our troops are treated by the populations of the occupied territories. We sent troops over there to stop evil totalitarian regimes and restore democracy; our intention was to give the people a voice and a say over the governance of their lands. Despite our good intentions, our troops are killed everyday by Islamic militants who want to restore dictatorships and kill any seeds of democracy.

One the main reason people dislike Islam is because of the way it’s adherents try to force others to accept their beliefs. Even the slightest criticism of Islam is sure to bring violent demonstrations throughout the world. People resent the fact that Muslims parade in large groups holding placards declaring that “Islam will one day rule the world” and “kill those who insult Islam.” Take this as an example: the British police crest has a crown with a tiny cross on the top of the shield. Despite being an historical and culturally significant emblem, Muslim officers demanded that the tiny cross be removed because it offended them. Also, certain British prisons have had to stop serving pork because it offeded Muslim inmates; even non-Muslims were forced to stop eating sausages and bacon. This sort of behaviour really annoys the average member of the public.

The way Islam treats other religions is also a cause for concern. Non-muslims living in Muslim lands are unfairly forced to pay a tax. Islamic militants and governments also harrass and discriminate against non-Muslims in their lands. Look at the way the Taliban destroyed those massive and ancient statues of the Buddha in Afghanistan.

Basically, Islam comes across as an intolerant and hateful religion. That is why Westerners, including many Christians, hate Islam. Christianity preaches us to love mankind but hate the sins of mankind. We don’t hate the muslim peoples, we just hate the religion which causes them to committ evils.

Which Crusade? Not all of them were even sanctioned by the Pope, much less blessed by him.

Walaikum Salaam

It only gives Christianity a bad name in the minds of the ignorant. The same type of people who hate all Muslims for the actions of a minority. Seeing a pattern here?

… Quran itself has a negative attitude towards non-believers and even exhorts muslims to kill those .
u must read the verses on war with context 🙂

I wrote the following post long ago in another forum where some non Muslims alleged that Quran teaches us to hate Jews.

Similarities between Muslims , Christians & Jewish Holy Books.

The following verses are describing how Jews were blessed , also punished by God Almighty in the past .

If not mentioned , it’s hard to understand which verse is from which Holy Book.

{ Test ur knowledge … can u identify the verses ??? Give me ur honest answer }

Still , media & non-Muslims complaint that Quran is hard on Jews. I wonder , why this allegation/misconception ?

Quran described what happened in the past …if it’s harshness , why nobody says Jewish holy Book is also hard on them ? If it’s not harshness , then next time , when u see anyone complaining against Quran about this matter , pl. correct him/her.

Hope , my Jewish sisters & brothers know that Muslims do respect Jews as ’ people of the Holy Book ’ & our holy Quran tells us how children of Israel were blessed by God Almighty.

So, if u are not angry with ur holy Book , don’t misunderstand Quran, too.
  1. And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers
  2. Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said: 'This is thy God
  3. . But after they had rest, they did evil again before Thee;
  4. Children of Israel! call to mind the favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all others.
  5. But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their neck, and hearkened not to Thy commandments,
  6. Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of God unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples
  7. they were disobedient, and rebelled against Thee, and cast Thy law behind their back, and slew Thy prophets that did forewarn them to turn them back unto Thee,
  8. Yea, forty years didst Thou sustain them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
  9. We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations

Greetings! If you read a comprehensive history of the Crusades, you will find that they started out with noble cause. The first goal was to free the Holy Land, and protect the rights of Christians in Jerusalem that had been conquered by the Muslims.

You have to also look closely at world history and look into the Moslem invasions into Spain, and see what went on. There is more to the issue than appears.

It was a warlike and feudal time in world history.

The wrongs committed by Christians were not endorsed by the Pope, and he was not able to control the actions of the fighters as he was not there.

I’m not making excuses for anyone, but in those days, as in earlier days…sacking, pillaging, etc were normal and were done in retribution on an enemy. It was also how some Armies paid their forces…
Explain how these activities are of God and represent His will.
This I cannot do, as I do not know the answer to that question, nor am I able as a mere man to discern the mind of God.

I am well aware that you are not a Muslim. I looked at your profile. I am sorry that someone assumed that you were. You are a Hindu. I know that there is a very significant difference.

If I may, I’d like to ask you a question. If you are not only Hindu, but a native Indian as well…

I know a little of your history, and have read some books on it… some that are not from the “western” standpoint. So I have a little bit of an understanding of how Indians felt about there occupation and subjugation by the British. Lets face it, the English were not very nice to Indians. In fact they were brutal at times. The Indians had enough of it and rebelled. There was much bloodshed and war. The 200 plus years of colonial rule took a great toll on India.

Do you feel that the Indians were justified in their war against the British? Do you feel the end justifies the means?

I’m not asking for any unfriendly reason. I’m curious. Whats most amazing is that out of all the struggles that India has gone through… it is the worlds largest “Democracy”. To me that speaks great volumes for the Indian people. Considering that they too had many struggles…even with Islamics and the later partition that resulted in the formation of Pakistan, and even today dealing with that issue.

Peace!!

Muslim Woman ,

You are (R_not) of the other side because of your posts that come out of frustration and irrationality.

Muslim Woman… you said:

That’s all fine and dandy. Looks good in print. But that’s all.

But when articles like this are printed: danielpipes.org/article/113 your statements fall on “deaf ears” because your words smack of falseness.

**Last June, Palestinian television broadcast a sermon in a Gaza mosque in which the imam, Ibrahim Madi, made the following statement: “God willing, this unjust state Israel will be erased; this unjust state the United States will be erased; this unjust state Britain will be erased.”

The sheikh’s gentle homily comes again to mind as Palestinians’ efforts to build their arsenal and persistent attacks on Israeli civilians have again been exposed of late. The most recent assault was at a ballroom last night, when a Palestinian used hand grenades to kill five and wound more than thirty Israelis, a much smaller number than would have been the case had the explosives on the terrorist’s body gone off as intended.

And while the American and Israeli situations might seem completely different, Sheikh Madi’s remarks remind us that the forces of militant Islam see them as akin. So if a reminder is needed that the war on terrorism goes beyond the campaign in Afghanistan, the Palestinians offer a powerful mnemonic. Militant Islamic rule in Afghanistan may be history but militant Islam is not.

Osama bin Laden years ago declared a jihad against all Christians and Jews while his friend Mullah Omar, the Taliban dictator, talked publicly about “the destruction of America,” which he hoped would happen “within a short period of time.” That militant Islamic leaders wish the same for Israel should hardly be news. The most powerful of them all, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, recently called for “this cancerous tumor of a state be removed from the region.”**

And once you come away from the fluff and bluster of your propaganda machine and become aware of the reality of the situations as pointed out in an article like this…which I am sure you will dislike…its really very hard to grant you or any muslim credibility. theaugeanstables.com/essays-on-judeophobia/anti-semitism-arab-israeli-conflict/

The simple fact is: Since the day in 1948 when Abdul Rahman Hassan Azzam said: This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades".[6] Not a single thing has changed. That war is still being fought. The only thing that has changed is that you and yours have spread your unholy and ghastly war to foreign shores and killed innocent people. Blood is on your hands. You open a battle, then you complain when you lose. So it is. So it will be.

We don’t hate you. We just know you for what you are and what you represent. We do not believe you or yours, nor do we trust what you or yours say. We know that it is considered proper to lie to us. We know more about you than you know about us.

If we truly “hated” you…many things would be very different.

What must I do to be saved according to the Apostle Paul?

In addition, what are we being saved from and from whom?

What is God’s righteousness and is it completely sufficient for us to be reconciled to God for all eternity?

Romans 10

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
