Similarities between Muslims , Christians & Jewish Holy Books.

Jesus taught his followers to love their emenies and do good to those who hurt you. Christianity is about love. Jesus NEVER instructed his followers to hate or kill anyone. I cannot say the same about the God of Islam.

Such a question reflects an error in the proper manner of reading scripture. The message of Christ is a whole message, and it is not to be divided and parsed into slivers. It is best to undersand the message in it’s wholeness, as Jesus gave it.

Paul’s message about salvation is not “different” from the other Apostles and writers of the NT. Problems occur when a theology is based on one myopic perspective, taking Paul out of the context in which He wrote.

I don’t known if you think you are not obvious here, Reformed, but it seems clear that you have come to CAF with pre-conceived and erroneous ideas about Catholicism, and that by posing these questions, and posting scripture, you can evangelize us.

Muslims do not read the entire New Testament; they cherry pick verses and interpret them totally and utterly out of context. I have yet to meet a Muslim who has made a serious and sincere study of Christianity or the New Testament.

Since time recorded, how many Jews/Israelis/Hebrew people have been killed by your people? How many murderers claiming to be martyrs continue to kill not only Jews but Shiites, Sunnis and anyone else with the misfortune to be in the area when the suicidal maniac sets off the bomb?

Examine your history, and that of your religion and the evil alliance it had with the Nazi Third Reich…then come back and attempt to justify your actions. You can’t. You can’t even remotely bring the claim that islam is a peaceful thing when all of islam calls for the death and destruction of all that is not muslim.

Do not try to say that muslims do not do this…that only leaders of countries in the arab world do it… If you fail to remove these people from their offices and depose them, then you are one of them. You cannot escape that fact.

You need to stop playing the part of a victim and become proactive in resolving the problem…quit islam, stop believing in a foul and evil theology of death and hate. You simply cannot justify the actions of your people killing your own, much less others.

I have not. I have been so put off by the little bit to which I am exposed that I have no desire to do so.

However, neither do I make any effort to incorporate any of the Teachings of Islam into my life or discussions. I think, were I to draw from the Quran as a reference or a resource, it would be incumbent upon me to study it sincerely. 👍

I read the Quran before I found my faith. I investigated many faiths, including Islam before I decided that my childhood faith of Catholicism was true. I investigated Islam before 9/11 and all of the stigma.
 
What if the church ruled a state ? what are the major changes on the society ?

Unless it is a ritual or act that is in complete peace, and in the name of god, there is going to be some mistakes. It was the right of the Pope in that saladin and his horde was planning on taking over europe. it was pretty much a jihad. europe is free today, not under sharia law, so if you ask me, mission accomplished.

im not for sure how to answer this, but the OT is about judaism not islam. jesus came as the messiah to jews and all people even muslims. he came for everyone and die on the cross for your sins. he preaches peace and we know thats what god wants. the same cannot always be said for muslim prophets and the Koran. so ask yourself: who would god want to establish a covenant with?

the whole point is that our bible does not tell us to be hateful. jesus would not have killed a woman who tried to kill him as mohamod supposedly did.

we are meant to prevail until the end. we are being saved from hell by resisting hell. we choose what we do. god makes nothing for sure, because if he did, where does our free will go? we have to choose to follow god, and choose to resist satan all throughout our lives, with our god given free will. if we slip we must atone by going to confession, as jesus commanded the apostles to do, and what is still being done to this very day. (see john 20:23 before making a response)

so it’s ok for Christians to kill innocents civilians including kids, rape women etc etc ? But Muslims are not allowed to ans to any attack ?

Do u know Crusader’s horses knee came under blood of Muslims ? May be ,it was also justified ?

stuff happens in war. the crusaders were not gods, they were flesh and blood. some of them messed up. but that does not change the fact that the muslim hordes attacked first. children may have been killed, women raped, but europe is a free area now. free from the sharia law saladin would have established. please do something for me, for all of us. post in a thread all the verses in the Koran about killing non believers and by force, converting them. then try and get us to believe that they are not promoting violence or that you as a muslim do not agree with them.

so the conclusions are : If Muslims are bad , Christians must become worst ; Christians are allowed to kill innocents people but Muslims can’t kill even armed enemies , Christians have right to self defence but Muslims don’t have that right etc etc .

There is no compulsion in religion , says God in holy Quran.

About war , did that earlier , InshaAllah will do that again. What about a comparison ? How many verses are there on war , killing in Bible vs Quran ?
