What I mean by “person” is to have a distinct mind …because if you look at humans, they might share the same body (*as in Siamese *twins) yet they have different minds (Aql , tafkeer , idraak)…

Yes I know Arabic, but you can find these terms in both the Hebrew bible and the Quran : God’s Hand, Eye, Spirit, Face, Word and more…yet, we don’t say these are persons… (or as you may say it Aganeem)
unfortunately i haven’t followed your thoughts on this forum but i can see so far that you at least understand things more that the writer of the Quran did. So far do you agree that what i wrote in Arabic, and which is the Christian understanding, refers to one God, and not 3 gods? do you agree that God is Mawjoudon bi Zatihi, Naatiqon bi Kalimatihi, Hayyon bi Ruhihi? if you agree so far, it means you understood the Trinity concept in general but you are questioning the details of “how”? am i correct till now?

and if we bring references from OT and NT, are you willing to read and understand or will you reject what God says but saying that they are corrupt? do you agree that , as the Bible says, God is watching over His words until all is fulfilled? if you are willing to read and try to understand, i and others will be glad to provide you with references in order for you to understand what we mean by Unity in Trinity and what “person” mean?

Yes… I agree with “Mawjoudon bi Zatihi, Naatiqon bi Kalimatihi, Hayyon bi Ruhihi”

ok I’m all ears, but try to focus more on the OT.

Yes… I agree with "Mawjoudon bi Zatihi, Naatiqon bi Kalimatihi, Hayyon bi Ruhihi"

Hi there, can you guys explain to me what the bold part means in English…

Yes… I agree with “Mawjoudon bi Zatihi, Naatiqon bi Kalimatihi, Hayyon bi Ruhihi”

which means you understand and believe in the Trinity, or Tri-unity of the Father (zaat), Son (Word-Kalima) and Holy Spirit.
ok I’m all ears, but try to focus more on the OT.

inJESUS;5629023:
If , and only if , you don’t say they are “distinct persons” .
I can see what you write because when you have an idea , you express it by words on a paper; as a result, your expressed thought on the paper is distinct than you yet it is nothing but your own thought. Do you agree?

the Quran for Muslims is the word of God…it came from God and its contents identify Him, the author…but it didn’t exist before it was revealed in the 6th century, therefore, it has a beginning

Sunni Muslims believe the Quran as the word of Allah is eternal and uncreated.

But that is beside the point at the time being because we are not talking about God’s eternity but about what “distinct” means and how two things can be distinct yet one and i’d appreciate it if you answer each point at a time in order to avoid confusion. Do you agree with what i wrote in the previous post?

yes I agree with your previous post

good so this is what is meant by “distinct” yet One…it is not a word to be afraid of but to be properly understood. When you try to understand it in the correct way, you will get close enough to understanding. You will not fully understand, nor anyone can, because we cannot put the ocean in a cup but we try to understand in the way God revealed. Try to think of what i wrote to understand how we approach things and i’m sure you realize by now that the book you believe was revealed by God does not approach or even come close to representing what we believe in, which must make you ponder on yet another thing and raise serious question marks. You are sincere enough to understand what we believe in, unlike most Muslims who came here insisting on twisting what we believe in because of the Quran.

Beside all that, ask He who is knocking at your door as He will surely reveal things to you.

Good night and salaam al Masih with you and all readers.

Indeed InJesus and thank you!

Matthew 7

**7 - "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

8 - For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. **

Best wishes and blessings!

I’m simply curious…may I ask why? The Koran itself says that the Torat and Injil were sent down, not just the Torat. Therefore I find it a bit odd to invent this scenario that must be appeased.

Because I am more familiar with verses from the NT that supposedly support the trinity…

Excuse me…do YOU understand your Trinity, first of all?

No one fully understands but God reveals in as much as our brains can understand.
saying “no one…understands.” is a big claim.
you cannot speak for all.
whatever your God “revealed” you as “much” as your specific brain can “understand”], would you reveal to us what did you really understand about your Trinity idea from your “revelation”?

I agree with InJesus ,no one fully understands God…why did you omit the word “fully” from his quote ?

btw,welcome to this forum…are you a Muslim ?

sorry… you seem misunderstood the point/objection being raised.

injesus’ reply “No one fully understands but God reveals in as much as our brains can understand.” was in response to whether she understands her Trinity first of all.

why did you “twist” injesus’ words from “No one fully understands [Trinity]” to “no one fully understands God”? since trinity is not God, right?

I did not omit the word “fully”. i just avoid quoting the full text by using dots “…”. that doesn’t mean I misquoted her.

are you and injesus same person with different ids?

ok I apologize …please ignore my last post…

you addressed InJesus by “she” , which indicates that you have been in this forum for a while…and yet you think we are the same person …!!
