Hi I know from how things work here there will be few prayers, as new members garner few and are soon forgotten, or the same two or three will cut and paste the same cut and paste they do on and on, but I am desperate enough t try, but with little hope any more that prayer does any good.

Need for reconciliation in my family that has been going on for so long and is now to the point of breaking me, prayers have done nothing nor have the best of efforts.
Both sides think they’re immovably right, but both sides are wrong too and too selfish or dumb to see it.It has wrecked our family.
Anyway, I don’t expect much from CAF members, or anyone anymore but at least I tried, as I have so long with God and the people concerned.
Thanks for any who do pray sincerely and not just as a matter of form.

Lord Jesus, lead all souls to heaven
especially those most in need of thy mercy.

Our Father…Hail Mary x10
Glory Be…Fatima Prayer…Amen!

Lord, Please grant peace, unity and harmony to Violet Shade’s family.

Amen

I just want to say that for years I felt stuck in such a triangle. It seemd my peace was dependent on an unstable relationship between two other people. One day I realized I was not responsible for their relationship and put up a boundary. My peace no longer depended on their peace. It was a great liberation. I am not sure if that fits or helps you at all.

Prayers for a Family in Conflict

Lord Jesus, be with this family. Grant them
Your peace and harmony, an end to conflict,
and division. Give them the compassion to better
understand one another, wisdom, and love
to assist one another, and trust and patience
to live peacefully together. Grant that through
the intercession of the Blessed Mother and
St. Joseph, your family may become a holy
family accepting one another, working together
in unity, selflessly dedicated to one another
and to You. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Thank you Michael, no it doesn’t fit. These aren’t people I can dismiss. It’s not that kind of situation. It’s not about me nor and I being co-dependent. I’m a mother, but and you have to be one to understand. I’m glad it worked for you.🙂

Suggestions:
  1. Talk to your doctor about apparent depression - your post strongly hints at it.
  2. Offer the Divine Mercy Chaplet, particularly focusing on the closing prayer:
“Eternal God, in Whom mercy is endless and the treasure of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen.”
You are clearly a tortured soul at this point in your life. Yet, bear that cross with joy, as the Lord intends it for your ultimate salvation. Yes, I wrote “joy.”

Prayers ascending.

Remembering you and your family in my daily prayers. God bless!

I can only try to understand the depth of your situation. And I am sure I would not be successful. It is hard to do, but we need to trust the Most Holy Trinity even when something turns out to be hopeless.

I can give my prayer to the Holy Spirit so that in His voice there will be a perfect prayer ascending to God.

Prayers ascending.
Thank you for your prayers and advice, but perhaps realize that to suggest depression or professional help is actually a 'put-down", when you have no idea that people are dealing with serious actual reality, and that caring, and seeing how serious it is and how many it affects and very badly, doesn’t mean that one is depressed, It means that things have been so bad for a long time and the person has prayed to God endlessly and the best they can, and also done everything they can, but the dire situation remains hurting a number of innocent people whom one legitimately loves. And no, there is no joy in seeing people you care for most suffering. So what if it hurts me, so cross of suffering with joy cuts no ice. People I love are hurting terribly every day. and what is happening is ruining their lives. Hence, saying I’m depressed belittles the reality of the seriousness and hurt these beloved people feel and live through.
so sometimes it is more respectful to realize that the person has a good reason for feeling as they do. They recognize the reality. Loss of hope is a response to intransigent reality, one of which is that all the prayer offered by self and others bears absolutely no fruit over a long period of time. I’m a realist, not a depressive. People can say, no you just feel depressed, go see someone, and they feel good about themselves for being so wise, but sometimes it’s inappropriate, and ignorant of the reality of the situation. As the advice to seek professional advice is oftn given here, perhaps that’s something to keep in mind. Prayer hasn’t helped, but perhaps there is someone out there God will listen to. I’ve tried my best, and wrote to every convent and monastery on the internet for prayers, but with no result whatever.

But I do appreciate your prayers.po18guy
Thank you
And thank you also to those who have prayed without deciding advice, but simply responded with prayer :grouphug:

Have had major family issues also.
A way of praying that has helped …
has taken years but has helped, and there’s still quite a ways to go …

… when I go to Mass, I invite the guardian angels of all my family members to attend the same Mass together with me and my guardian angel, and I ask all the angels to pray for all of us, …

“for our peace, healing, forgiveness, strength, consolation, conversion and salvation, in accordance with God’s Holy Will.”

The daily Rosary is helpful too.

One note … while I do in fact copy and paste the Hail Mary or sometimes the Our Father or the prayer to St. Michael, I can assure you that I do in fact say the prayer … sometimes twice, if I feel myself getting distracted halfway through.

Praying for you and your family … there is hope. That said, there are some situations where the best thing to do is love and pray for them from a good safe distance … You are certainly in the best position to discern your situation for yourself. Anyways, there is hope.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying for the intentions in your heart. So sorry to hear things have been a struggle for so long. I pray your situation will improve in the future.

God Bless,

Mary.

And I wanted to add that I continue to pray every day even if I don’t always put it on the page…
Praying for your family from the heart…

My Lord, I am heartily sorry for my sins;
Purify my heart with Your Holy Blood
I pray for Your Mercy;
Grant me the grace of a new conversion.
My Lord, By the power of Your Cross,
I wish to forgive every person who has hurt me.
Shortly before Your Death You prayed,
Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Merciful Lord,
Teach me mercy even when that seems to be impossible
I renounce every temptation to harden my heart;
I want to find no anger in my heart, no bitterness, no self-pity.
I renounce every desire to get even and to condemn;
I desire to bless everyone who in any way has harmed me.
I pray to be forgiven for everything I ever did to harm someone else,
Even those I harmed without knowing it.
My Lord,
Remove my heart of stone and give me a new heart, a heart of flesh.
Fill it with your humility and meekness;
Soften it with your mercy.
I fervently implore You,
Give me the Holy Spirit,
So that I might know how to love You and my neighbor,
so that I might fight the good fight and always choose to do what it truly good.
Grant that I not trust in my own strength alone
and that I not let disappointment quench my hope,
That hope that is anchored in Your strength and Your love.
Amen.
