The age of reason! This thread just makes me happy. Itās neat reading all of the stories of how everyone gets their family involved in the rosary.
Okay, carry on now![]()

Age ought to take a āack seatā to understanding. Both the prayers AND there meaning at least on a TO God basis, IMO-Guy
Why? My husband used to pray the rosary in while lying in bed with my oldest children when they were a toddler and a baby. While they didnāt understand (at the time), they have fond memories of this time. It was soothing and they were able to appreciate the meditative and rhythmic aspects of the prayer. Kind of like taking little ones to church; they become accustomed to the sights and sounds of prayer and worship from a young age.Age ought to take a āack seatā to understanding. Beautiful storiesThe sooner the better. My kids are 11, 8, 7, 4, 2, and 2 months, and we try to pray a family Rosary at least 3-4 times a week (on my days when Iām not working). My 11, 8, and 7 year old all lead decades, and my 4 year old leads one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be at the end for the intentions of the Holy Father.
Itās a great family activity that brings so many blessings and graces to us. An added bonus is that it helps get them settled down before bedtime.
We also like to pray the family Rosary whenever weāre in the van for long drives. Again, the bonus of having 6 kids settled down in a vehicle for an extended period of time is priceless.
