I have no advice or insightful commentary to provide, but I will say I am happy for you. Based on the information you have provided, it seems that you have had a true friendship with this man you mention. True to my nature, I am extremely critical of how many people view and treat relationships, especially “friendships”. It seems you have been fortunate to have a relationship characterized by respect; intimacy; mutual desire for the welfare of the other; and decision-making that actually reflects that holy desire. Not everyone is able to have that which you have apparently shared with this man. Regardless of what the future holds for you and this man, I hope you both are grateful for this wonderful relationship; a blessing God has bestowed on the both of you.

Thank you!! Yes, regardless of whether he and I are meant to be husband and wife, we both reflect often on how grateful we are for each other, and recognize that we were certainly placed in each others’ lives for a reason
