Makes no sense. Because the Being who indeed is Jesus Christ is was who taught these fallible human beings the Apostles. And he is the one who gave them the Power of the Holy Spirit to explain and teach. Which he indeed promised this teaching to be infallible. But they are rejecting the Actual Being when they say they do not believe in Jesus Christ and God. It is what it is, and no matter how they try to turn it around it comes down to this. Do you believe in God the Father, ANd do you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Easy question easy answer yes or no?

SO when they do not accept the Infallible teachings of the Church are they not rejecting Christ. Again yes or no?

Or … if there is a God … maybe atheists and agnostics are not rejecting the actual Being, but the explanations and descriptions of this Being which are provided to them by fallible human beings.

Then why not be a deist for far greater minds than Charles Darwin (the poster) and AnAtheist were (Albert Einstein for example)? A deist is a person who believes in a (impersonal) higher being (with no attachments to religion). So why is it that they’re not?

It’s awfully hard to insult or love a fictitious character.

My experience from people who “say” they are atheists:

1. They are angry at God for either something they believe that God should have done or did not do for them (or others) in their life, so now they deny Him.
2. They had read the Scriptures and/or have attended/participated at a Church or had a relationship with the Lord in the past; however, living by God’s Word would make them accountable for their actions…that is something they do not want to do.

Creation just “screams” the existance of God, but then again, explaining this to non-believers is like trying to describe clouds to a blind person. How sad is this, because it does not have to be that way for them. If they only understood just how much God truly loves them, they would find the peace they seek…even though many, many of them “voice” that they are at peace and are happy. They will never be a peace because of the “void” they have within them…if they were truly honest with others (and more importantly with themselves), they would have to admit that.

Ever since I have really embraced my faith and embraced Jesus and pray everyday, I find atheism to be actually insulting…I feel atheist are insulting Jesus, and I can’t help it but take it personal…It’s like when I watch the crucifixion scene in a movie, I get so angry at the people laughing at my Jesus! does anyone else feel this way?..I wish I didn’t feel this way, I don’t want to hurt their feelings, and I’m friends with some atheists…as long as we don’t talk about religion, we get along…I think at one time in my life, I was possibly agnostic, but at my lowest point, I was never atheist…I just don’t understand it…How could a person not love Jesus…?

Rinnie, my husband and I also love to ride. I had a Harley but I sold mine. One of our friends had died last Wednesday, the largest Harley-Davidson owner in the country. Bruce Rossmeyer was killed last Thursday in Wyoming as he tried to speed up to pass a pick up truck. I feel terrible about this. Please pray for him.

Rinnie, my husband and I also love to ride. I had a Harley but I sold mine. One of our friends had died last Wednesday, the largest Harley-Davidson owner in the country. Bruce Rossmeyer was killed last Thursday in Wyoming as he tried to speed up to pass a pick up truck. I feel terrible about this. Please pray for him.

I am so sorry, and you bet he will be in my prayers all this week. You never know when God is going to call you home OTCA, thats for sure. My Mom hates bikes. My brother rode all his life and when he got his last Harley he hid it from her for a year.

He died over 5 years now actually the 31 of July was the day he died, but of a brain tumor. My Mom learned no one can know how or when God will call them home.

My husband will be 50 on Sat and he got a new bike for his birthday to take this week on our trip. I didn’t really want to tell her but I did. She said life is short, GOOD I am glad he got his new bike. It was his dream he deserves it. Boy was I shocked.

But I can tell you one thing, don’t be sad about your friend too long, He is with my brother now, and trust me he is having fun. Everytime my Mom hears a Harley now she knows my brother is with God and still riding thats for sure. Your friend and my Brother are on the other side where we want to get. We will all meet there some day and nothng but tears of Joy. Pure joy. You like I know this because you believe. God bless you and his family. Again they will be in my prayers and I will light a candle on Sunday for them. I understand your pain right now, and sadness and it will take some time. But with Gods grace understanding comes, and then Peace and acceptance. I hope quickly for you and his family. But again I am So Sorry for your loss.

Isaiah 45:7 -
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Also, just use your common sense. If God created EVERYTHING, then God created evil (if not intentionally, then by accident).

If you want to say God didn’t create evil, then you’re saying something exists that God didn’t create. That would mean there’s another power in the universe equal to God and with the same power to create. Do you really want to go there?

Yes I really do. Because my bible says woe not evil. Could you explain to me how great sorrow means (woe) means evil (wickedness sin).

I am not a biblical scholar but a little bit of research will show that the hebrew word used in Isaiah 45:7 and translated into “evil” is “ra’”. This word is used in many other places in the OT, including, for example, in Genesis to describe the “tree of knowledge of good and evil”.

So this verse seems quite clear that God created evil. Who else would have created it?

That’s an interesting question. I would say that God, being according to the Bible the first cause of the universe and the creator of everything and everyone, bears the ultimate responsibility for every bad action ever committed, even if said action has been committed due to the free will of human beings. If every chain of causality goes ultimately back to God, every chain of causality that leads to sin also goes back to God. How could it not be so?

On the same note, what do you think of the fact that God seems to set stricter moral standards for human beings than he sets for himself? After all he doesn’t respect his own commandments. Shouldn’t the higher being be a role model for his subjects?
