If you cannot see that by getting hung on the cross and beaten and spit on a crucifed on the cross and suffering the way Christ did on the cross did not sacrifice anything, you are correct then, you will never see it.I don’t get it? Why would god not just forgive? This is why i would never worship it even if it did exist. A creature that is not capable of forgiveness without some kind of horrific punishment involved is not wothy of my worhship. For the minute punishment is introduced it is no longer forgivness.
On top of that i really don’t see the big deal about the jesus on the cross things. It’s not like he actually sacrificed anything. If he died and stayed dead i could see the sacrifice, but he didn’t he came back to life and went back to eternal paradise.
So the story is an eternal god comes down to earth for a few years then goes back to paradise, where is the great sacrifice? He gave up nothing.
It’s like a billionare sleeping on the street for a night, then going back to his life of luxury. Would you call that a sacrifice?
If you are a billionare and sleep on the street for a night you would understand how lucky you are to have what you have. I would call that a sacrafice, and would hope that the one night would be enough to show him how many people he can save from that horrible night. I would hope it would be one he would never forget. So yes I can see the good in it.
What you seem to forget it is by his death and ressurrection that he saved us all from sin, and because of that death we all get to go to paradise. It if because of his death that we are forgiven. IT is by his death that he took on the sins of the world and saved us all. SO we are forgiven.
