Attending/participating in friends non denominational wedding

There won’t be much participation other than standing there. Most ND weddings I’ve been to last about 20 minutes and it’s maybe 1 or 2 readings, exchange of vows and rings, kiss the bride, and you’re outta there.

I was a best man in an ND wedding in South Carolina, and @TNMan has it right. The ceremony seemed like it was over before it even got started. The reception afterward was cake & punch and was even shorter. I don’t think anyone even sat down. Then everyone went their separate ways.

(this was before I knew there could be any concerns about being a Catholic participant–that fact never even occurred to me)
