I voted Kirk.

BTW, how come Captain Christopher Pike never gets mentioned in these polls? 😉

As far as Janeway goes, I thought that women always asked for directions when they were lost… 😉
You are just jealous… Janeway is one of the best! It is the men who need to learn the humilty to ask. Also, notice all the alliances created under her command!

I always liked Captain Picard the best. But, I haven’t watched many of the shows.

FWIW, of all of the “Captains” it was Captain Picard who reminds me of actual Captains I have served under in the USN. He carries himself as an actual senior officer.

But Shatner makes me laugh. Bet you couldn’t find any of the other “Captains” on a cereal box. You need fiber if you are going to “boldy go where no man has gone before.”

That’s not a fair comparison. When you’re out of Federation space, you have no choice but to form alliances. All the others would have done the same thing, but better. 😉

Q was a great villain! I was so disappointed, though, when he let the Enterprise crew have a look at what life was like in the Q continuum, and it turns out they were basically sitting around bored to death all the time. What a waste!

I haven’t seen that episode. That’s so weak! It was clear in “encounter at farpoint” that that was the first time any Federation member encountered Q.

I know some original series fans will be dissapointed, but I have to go with Patrick Stewart’s Capt. Picard. IMHO he made the show what it was.
I also like Picard, but without James Kirk, there would be no Star Trek.Live long and prosper!

“MAKE IT SO” Picard- what a real man! The rest are just fluff…

While he helped, the show was was made by him and the others especially Spiner, Frakes & Sirtis, married name unknown
Stewart, Frakes and Spiner, they rock, BUT FORGET Marina!! She’s a dumb bimbo!! A stupid woman, and truly no Catholic @ all. Give me Nichelle Nichols anytime!! And Denise Crosby as well. And hang Cherly Gates Mc Fadden, she’s so dummo.

Or Captain Robert April (First Captain of the Enterprise)
Captain Willard Decker,
Captain Spock (yes he served as Captain of the Enterprise when it became a cadet training ship),
Captain John Harriman (USS Enterprise-B)
Captain Rachel Garret (USS Enterprise-C) 😉

I voted for Captain Benjamin Sisko 👍

Kirk is my favorite - and Shatner is fabulous! Check this out: fametracker.com/fame_audit/shatner_william.shtml

I consider William Shatner’s “The Transformed Man” to be the greatest album ever recorded! The album went out of print some years ago and fetched big bucks at auction. Thankfully, it was recently reissued. To hear the Shat-Man recite Shakespeare is a thing of beauty. I seriously think he’d do a good Bible reading, too.

Sisco wasn’t afraid to use his firepower and had an ability to create a strategic advantage no matter what. I think he was the boldest of the captains.

I like them all, but my personal favourite will always be the legendary Captain Kirk.

That episode was “Death Wish” from Voyager. It wasn’t an actual view of the Continuum, but a representation of it, that the crew would be able to relate to.

Picard was the best. His authority and presence captured your attention. Besides, TNG was the best-written of the series.

However, I was quite pleased the Barclay found a role in Voyager as well.

Yes, I remember that one. It wasn’t that bad.
