Does anyone know of a website that has audio pronunciations of Biblical names? I think I had run across one once but I can’t find it any more. Any help would be appreciated!

The problem is that there are often no pronunciation correlates between the ancient languages and modern English. The city of Capernaum, for example (per Fr. Pacwa) had a name in Hebrew that is pronounced similar to “Caw-far-nah-whom.” Problem is that the start of the final syllable “whom” is a guttural sound formed not by the tip of the tongue or lips, but far back, where the oral cavity meets the throat. Not easily or naturally done in English.

Good one! I know personally I have had times when I’m reading the Bible and have to mumble through some names.
