This kind of thing comes as no surprise. I wonder if publicly stating you’ll vote against any MP who votes for cloning would amount to “intimidating lawmakers?”

Probably. The left does not want the people to have a choice who to vote for. Just look at Cuba, China, North Korea, Venezuela, and the old Soviet Union.

The Greens started in Germany and is just another form of NAZISM - they are so far Left they became Right -

How Green Were the Nazis?
By Franz-Josef Brueggemeier, professor of history at the university of Freiburg, Germany. He has published extensively in the field of environmental history in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Europe.
The Nazis created nature preserves, contemplated sustainable forestry, curbed air pollution, and designed the autobahn highway network as a way of bringing Germans closer to nature. How Green Were the Nazis? is the first book to examine the ideology and practice of environmental protection in Nazi Germany.
A Green Party is a formally organized political party based on the principles of Green politics. These principles include environmentalism, reliance on grassroots democracy, nonviolence, and social justice causes, including those related to the rights of indigenous peoples. “Greens” believe that these issues are inherently related to ecological, social, and human bodily health.

The Nazis were leftists too (National Socialists). They believed in government control of the economy even if they did allow the large companies to continue to exist.

I think the Church in this country is in a similar, though far less drastic, situation. The IRS uses the threat of revoking the non-profit tax status to keep christian churches from openly speaking out against immoral practices / legislation. Especially at voting time the Church is afraid to educate its people on which candidates are pro-life and which are not. All in the name of not paying taxes, the Church is silent when it knows that a pro-abortion candidate is running for President or some other important office.

The Australian Greens, who are otherwise known as the Watermelon Party, are not Nazis but straight out Communists (IMO). The Green bit is camoflage. Anyway, they got their way and there will be a Parliamentary Inquiry in Cardinal Pell’s comments. The same thing is happening to our Archbishop Hickey, who also spoke out, here in WA.

A letter to the editor in the West Australian a few weeks ago pointed out that Labor Union heavies routinely threaten Labor Party pollies if they don’t vote the way the union wants them to. Why isn’t there an inquiry into these threats? Seems to me to be a greater case for contempt of Parliament than Pell’s and Hickey’s statements.

Pell is a good man. There should be a hundred more like him.
Linda Marie gave me a little start. WA is also the postal designation of the state in which I live, Washington.
Our archbishops are not related.
