Autobiography of Father John Corapi release date

This is the day before a very large conference where Fr. Corapi will be preaching at the TD Garden in Boston before what is anticipated to be the largest crowd ever to hear Fr. Corapi live. I’ve only seen Father Corapi on a handful of shows/programs, but the church needs about a thousand more priests with his kind of conviction. He is humble but not weak or shallow in his explanations.

I attended an all day conference in Covington, KY where Fr. Corapi gave four talks with breaks inbetween and then there was a Mass in the Convention Center, led by the ARchbishop and concelebrated with a dozen other priests. That whole experience deepened my faith and conviction, I purchased his Teachings of Jesus Christ DVD set and truly set off on a journey to learn my faith as taught in the Catechism and explained by Fr. John. His witness is the most powerful one I have ever heard. I will be purchasing this book, too.

I’ve seen him twice-at a Marian conference in Rochester. NY in 1998, and at Auriesville Shrine [where he made his decisive confession] in 2002.

I had a picture taken with him in 2002!

I am coming to recognize Fr. Corapi as greatly gifted man and a vehicle of the Holy Spirit, even as his style is not exactly to my taste. I hope his book inspires many and that his ministry has continued success.

That said, I wasn’t going to comment here until I saw this post. He was in Rochester? For the last few months I have been looking into the recent history of that diocese eek, and from what I have learned I am astonished they’d even let him set foot in that diocese. I would love to hear any backstory you have about that event where you saw him there.

Yes, he was in the Rochester diocese in 1998-I know that’s hard to believe, considering what’s going on there (even worse now).

I only saw him in the course of the conference. I bought two tapes of his morning and afternoon talks, and when I was going in for lunch at the intermission, I saw him walk near me! I remember giving him a ‘thumbs up’ ] and saying, ‘Great talk, Father!’ And he smiled and said ‘You’re welcome’ in that deep rumbling voice which he has!

It was a Marian conference which I went to in 1998. There was a group which sponsored him, but I forgot their name; it was so long ago!

I wish we’d have more priests like him-priests who are not afraid to ‘tell it like it is’!
