I have read the debates (other posts) on the Euchrist and whom should distribute it and how and how it should be taken. I am still pondering all of that.
But aside from all of that, how do you prepare yourself for Communion. How do you ensure that you approach with true knowledge and faith. There have been times when I am distracted (I have children and they can hinder my full focus, at times) and find myself going and partaking and not really appreciating what just happened. There are other times that I am so aware, that I feel myself tremble and tears come to my eyes, which I have to fight back, and I know that God is giving of Himself and will soon be in me: He makes Himself palpable and that is incredible and beautiful and just amazing! The times that I experience this, I just meditate a little beforehand and I pray that God give me clarity. I envision something related to the cross and it circumsizes my heart to receive Christ in His fullness. What do you do? Do you always receive with the upmost reverence and awe?
I want constant awe and reverence of and for Him,
