An angelic baby girl was kissed by Pope Benedict XVI six weeks ago when the pontiff visited New York City. Now many are left to wonder, could a blessing from His Holiness have saved the little girl when a crane collapsed on the Manhattan apartment building she and her family were living in?
INSIDE EDITION’s April Woodard spoke with Anthony and Amy Carillo about the experience that have left them to do some serious soul searching.
“It could be a miracle,” Amy said.
Amy Carillo showed INSIDE EDITION exactly where she was standing with baby Ashley at St. Joseph’s Church when the Pope visited New York City in April.
“When he got to Ashley he put both hands on her face and gave her a kiss on the forehead,” says Amy. “It was amazing experience.”
Her husband, a track coach and writer, was home alone with daughters Alli and Ashley, when suddenly a towering construction crane crashed into their building on Friday, May 30th.
