Please remember this child, everyone. Make it so that Corwin Matthew did not die in vain. Join the cause for life today.
That’s a good idea. I’m going to make a donation to our crisis pregnancy center in Corwin Matthew’s memory.

From her blog:
But, what really makes us think that letting him go is the best option is the first surgery. It would be over a month before we could hold our child. It would be over a month before he could taste his mother’s milk. For a month, he would know nothing but pain and confusion. The doctor told us that he would even need to be taught how to eat because he wouldn’t be allowed to eat due to the necessities of surgery.
That is no life for a baby.
Let’s pray that this kind of mindset is eliminated from the world! To think that being deprived of the “taste of mother’s milk for a whole month” and having to be taught how to eat is worse than being killed by the one person who should protect you above all else–your mother :nope:

This whole situation is so sad – sometimes it’s better to put your trust in God than in the doctor.

“That’s no life for a baby.”

If only they had taken a moment to actually reflect on that statement.

Corwin fought against death for 3 hours. He wanted to live. With underdeveloped lungs he fought for breath for 3 hours like our Saviour on the cross. He died a martyr’s death.

Corwin Matthew, pray for us.

I have always been pro-life and a quiet advocate for life. This has changed me and I hope it has changed everyone here. Yesterday I joined Wisconsin Right to Life (my home state). I will never pass on the chance to spread the message and teach others the evil of these murders. We have a much more moral Supreme Court… now is our time to put this to a permanent end in America.

How sad; doctors have been wrong before.
I cannot have children and I would give anything to even have one to hold in my arms even if only for a hour! how sad.

Guys, I have to admit that I feel so discouraged by this. I know that so many people prayed and fasted for a good outcome to this, and it didn’t happen. I just wonder what more we could have done.😦

As someone with several rare congenital heart defects I’m sitting here in tears. How could a mother give up on her child like that? How could think death is better than surgeries and a lifetime of medicine?! What the hell has happened to this world where less than perfect children aren’t worthy of life?

The only thing that keeps from telling this woman exactly what I think of her insane decision is respect of the fact that she grieving the loss of a child. Even if that was something that very likely didn’t have to happen. I’m just sickened.

Note:

Because this thread was evolving from prayers for the child and his family into a discussion of the moral and social justice aspects of the story, aspects that are outside the realm of Prayer Intentions, it has been closed. If you wish to continue discussing the moral or social justice aspects of the case, feel free to start a thread in either Moral Theology or Social Justice. You may provide a link to this thread for background.

**Please continue to keep little Corwin, his parents, and all involved in this case in prayer. **
