Thanks to all for prayers and our thanks to our merciful God!

Baby Anneliese who has been suffering from cancer in both eyes for thirteen months is, as of yesterday, cancer-free for the first time. There’s still time ahead for more prayers since this cancer is likely to recur in children up to the age of five yrs and Anneliese is only 15 months old. Still, what a glorious report, after months of bad-news-reports, large and small. I’ll stay in touch with reports to all here who have kept this darling (Catholic!) baby in their prayers. For now, I thank you so very much. Blessed be God!

Praise be to God!! Thank you, Mother Mary! That’s awesome!!

I will continue to pray.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Yes - and thank you. It has felt like such a long battle.
It’s amazing to have some good news at last.

Wonderful…prayers continue. Hail Mary…

Glory be to You, Lord, Jesus Christ, for restoring the baby to health. Please watch over her as she grows and keep this cancer away from her. In Jesus name we pray.

Catharina:

I’m happy to hear the goodnews. I’m praying for Anneliese.

Prayerfully,

Renato

Wonderful news, Catharina…will be keeping Anneliese in prayer…

Deo Gratius !

Merciful and loving God, we praise Your Holy Name. You alone are the author of life. You alone conceived of us and breathed into us the breath of life. We thank and praise You alone for Your goodness. We adore You, we love You and we praise You. May Your Name be exalted above all others. You have loved us from everlasting to everlasting. You Who command every cell of our bodies, and Who have control over our beings, grant that Anneliese receive Your Heavenly Peace. You alone have strengthened her throughout this time of trial. You alone have tested her loved ones and found them worthy. Graciously bless the parents You chose for her as they cradle her in their arms. May they live in imitation of Your chosen Mary, who lovingly cradled Your beloved Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her blessed arms. We ask this through the same Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.

Really, it does feel like a miracle after all this time.

Still ahead, close follow-up. Next MRI is scheduled for 02-18-08.

Still in the works, daily patching of the better eye to encourage use of the far-more-damaged eye (an hour per day) and fulltime use of glasses (to protect the eyes from any injury). However darling baby is usually quite cooperative with both protocols.

She is such a dear!

Again, thanks be to God
and thanks to all of you!!

oh my gosh–this is a true miracle! Praise be to our Lord who always hears our every prayer. Thank you for this wonderful update!!

My son had a roving eye that required patching when he was six years old. He hated wearing it and would take it off when going outside to play because some of the kids teased him. I recently read where they have eye drops now that accomplish the same results as the patch. If the baby starts pulling the patch off you might see if the doctors think the eye drops might be permissible.

Best wished to this blessed child!

:extrahappy: Praise God! We have been praying daily for Anneliese and will continue to offer prayers of thanksgiving for this miracle and for protection from relapse.

I’ve been offering prayers of thanksgiving throughout the day. Thank you Jesus! :extrahappy: I’ve been praying so hard for her, it’s just overjoying that God would be so good as to answer our prayers!!
