Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

I went back to the beginning of your post and read each of your post only and it reminded me of my life in my early twenties when I first injuried my back. The ups and down of back pain. How one day your okay and the next day you can barely move and then you would get the sciatic pain down the legs. Oh yes, it was all too familiar, but you had something I didn’t and that is this forum and all these people praying for you and I think that is why you have improved so much. I went through the PT, the epidural steroid injections (many of them), the medications, and three back surgeries. I am considered to have a failed back syndrome, but you know what, in all that pain and suffering because each procedure they did came with pain as well, I offered it up and still do. I have been to many healing services and have accepted my suffering and pain. I have been told my back is healed and believed it, but still continue in pain. I have accepted that I am chosen by God to offer up my pain in union with Christ’s suffering and death for the conversion of sinners. I don’t mind. I would suffer so that no sinner would go to hell and be converted.

So do I understand all that you are going through, yes. The ups and down of the pain, yes. The leg pains and the sharp pains, yes. It is difficult and it has lasted for me more than 20 years now. If the Lord wishes to heal me, so be it, but until then I offer it all up. I will continue to pray for you to be healed, but know one thing that through this suffering and I have seen it in your responses already, you will grown spiritually. He works in us in the Cross and in the Suffering. He is molding us and pruning us. There is no way to Heaven except through the cross. I have seen you grow spiritually when I read your responses and I am sure all the prayers that everyone is offering up here is helping as well. I know it not easy on a daily basis, for I am living it. Somedays, at least for me, I ask why me, but than I remember all that Jesus did for me. Why not me?

I commend you on how you are handling your suffering and pain. I did not do so well in the beginning. I was even angry at God. I don’t see that in you. Keep praying and staying close to the Lord and his Passion for that will help you and the food that fed me through my suffering was and is the Eucharist.
