Baha'i: Jesus Claims to be God (and how do you respond to those claims?)

It means the same thing as saying that “Jesus is God”

It is often easier to pray to a Figurehead, rather than an “Imaginary Being” which is very difficult for human beings to conceptualize, and often to conceptualize incorrectly. Jesus and Baha’u’llah offer us this opportunity, to have a Godhead that is correct in its conceptualization.

Was I wrong? You consider it during this dispensation proper and profitable to worship Jesus? I thought it would have only been allowed during the correct dispensation, after all things change right?

Insofar as your feelings are hurt, I don’t really pity you. I feel some argument ad absurdum helps in such situations. By no means it is not adequate in of itself but it is a legitimate method to get the emphasis across. So to suggest we do not have patience, when how many of these threads are there and you have still yet to give clear definitions of doctrine you believe, is absurd in of itself.

But you say it is okay for people to worship Jesus, alright. Is it okay for people to worship pagan Gods?

I’m sorry I read it wrong Chrisit will not come back again , that might be the reason ‘Abdu’l-Bahá never became a Christian.

Servant19, don’t you think its a bit disingenuous for the Baha’i faith to not put up some sort of Disclaimer or footnote on the writings of Baha’u’llah.What I mean is, if it is true that these “Revelations” didn’t actually come from the Mind of Baha’u’llah, but were in fact imparted to him in a Supernatural way, from the Spirit World shouldn’t the Baha’i faith be up front and and transparent about this ?

The issue is that you are skirting issues Techno.

The Dove represents the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus. His Revelation came after that time. The Holy Spirit, last time I checked, was a Spirit, the same Spirit that you are mocking Bahaullah about.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
1 John 4:1

The Spirit that confesseth that Jesus has come in the flesh is of God.
