hosemonkey you maybe a Catholic but a rude one at best! Just a little info I am a tithe paying of aCatholic Church,an ordinary minister an Rcia teacher along with my husband and yes we DO teach the Doctrine and I was asked by our Priest to teach this class. Also along with my husband we are vice presidents of our Church’s Mr. and Mrs. club. We have both helped at our Church school. So there it is and after this I really don’t care what you think:thumbsup:
Very nice. Now start refuting some of the protestant nonsense being posted here. If you are an RCIA teacher, you should have no trouble in explaining the truth of Catholic doctrine and practice to these protestants. Sometimes the truth is harsh, but you need to step up and start being Catholic.

Sorry mr. if you think that being a good catholi means being rude and ruder then I will oass, I love being a nice Catholic and loving Jesus. I doubt if Jesus would approve of your methods. But hey if youe
bible says they will know we are Christians if it makes you feel important then go for it, it isn’t very good advertisement for the CC, your attitude. But it takes all kinds. The Bible saya they will know we are Christians by our love, SORRY don’t see it here:shrug:

No, you said “Fundamentalists”. You didn’t say anything about your denomination.

If they’re the ultimate in Protestantism, then why are they such a small denomination and why do they hold to so many doctrines that are not common to Protestantism?

That’s really interesting, since I happen to be in a position of leadership in a SBC church and have been a messenger within the denomination for several years. I would love to hear examples of SBC pastors who have either not gone to seminary or are not currently completing seminary.

Why?

No, I don’t have creeds and confessions confused.

Do you have a source for that because I’m very familiar with the Distinctives and have never heard of this as one of the Distinctives.

Also, if Baptists are opposed to creeds and confessions, why are there so many Baptist creeds and confessions?

Actually, this has nothing to do with soul liberty or sola scriptura.

And I highly resent you lying about us.
To start off with I am a HE and not a she. Pipper is the name of one of my daughters. You are not aware of the so-called “church of Christ” that does not surprise me. Outside the campbellite heartland they hardly exist except where carried by immigrating Southeners. For example in California they have churches started by Oklahomans who fled the dustbowl in the 1930s and a fairly prominant university Pepperdine in Malibu. But in the cofc heartland in the south they are the main competition to the Baptists, Either first or second in membership in many southern counties. Every small town will have usually three churches, one Baptist, one “churchaChrist” and one Methodist.

Church of Christ and Baptists often prosyletise or steal sheep from the other church. You really need to go down south to the heartland af fundamentalism and see for yourself how things really are down here,

I will not be so rude as you and call you a liar, we both are Christians and I do not think Christians should behave that way towards each other.

But I think you are maybe misleading, “Bible colleges” do exist, and many fundamental churches do not require their clerics to have a seminary degree. I personally know of small, rural Baptist congregations whose ministers have no seminary degrees, and the congregations think they are fortunate to get anyone degreed or not.

Pehaps you need to leave Cal and see how the Southern half lives? Do you teach at Golden Gate seminary?

And it doesn’t surprise me that you would falsely accuse me of not being familiar with the Church of Christ.

I’d ask you to show evidence for that but I know by now that you only make claims, you don’t ever back them up.

Hey, Einstein, Alabama is about as “down south” as you can get.
I will not be so rude as you and call you a liar
So, it’s not rude to lie, it’s just rude to point it out?
But I think you are maybe misleading, “Bible colleges” do exist, and many fundamental churches do not require their clerics to have a seminary degree.
Yeah, I know. You told this whopper already.
I personally know of small, rural Baptist congregations whose ministers have no seminary degrees, and the congregations think they are fortunate to get anyone degreed or not.
Name those churches.

Who ever said I was in California?

Never made any such claim
Yeah, actually, you did.
Acts 20: 7, >>> On the first day of the week,<<< when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and he prolonged his speech until midnight :yup:
Nothing there about commanding us to meet on a specific day of the week.

Be advised that I am only rude to those who warrant it. “Nice” Catholics are what is wrong with the Church today. They will not promote and defend what they believe. mormons and JWs and sundry other protestants spit on your “nice” and drag poorly catechised Catholics into their cults and clap-hands, feel-good churches. They take their birthright for a mess of pottage. What ever happened to Catholics who would stand up for their Faith. If you love Jesus, you will preach and defend His Church. I love enough to tell the truth. It is obvious that you do not.

Thank you Mr. spelling sheriff and the word is pompous what a lot of people here are. YES I am a CHRISTIAN CATHOLIC Oh and thank you all for showing the love of Christ in this thread, I think you all are more concerned with what you think you know then you actually do know:shrug:
Hey, how about trying to lead others to the truth, instead of merely appointing yourself thread moderator? It is impossible to tell that you are Catholic from what you say and apparently believe. So, give us a reason to believe! Your actions speak much more loudly than your words.
