We need to remember that nude art can be perfectly acceptable in Catholicism, why not the protesters? Let them protest! Let positive Catholic values abound!!!
You must be joking.

First, “nude art” is often just a form of pornography. There is a big difference between “nude art” and sacred art that happens to have nudity.

Second, what these Femen “protesters” were doing was not “art” and was certainly not a legitimate protest. What they were doing was indecent, immoral, illegal and truly demonic in nature.

Femen has a way of attacking anyone who defends the Truth and they especially hate the Catholic Church as well as political authorities that defend traditional Christian values. I think a little while ago they “protested” Vladimir Putin for his stance against the sodomite agenda.

Fulton Sheen once gave the three primary marks of the demonic:
  1. Nudity/Obsession with Sex
  2. Split mind/personality
  3. Violence/aggressiveness
Femen carries those demonic marks.

So what do you propose in dealing with them? I say forgive and forget. The Church needs to deal with this the best way they can, by promoting LOVE the best that they can.

I propose the first thing we might do is not pass if off as nude art.

You are joking, right?

Nude “art” is just a form of pornography.

Sacred art that happens to have nudity is an entirely different matter.

What these demonic femen “protesters” did was neither art nor a legitimate protest.

It was a form of violence and was pornographic in nature.

You can get an idea of who Satan is really afraid of by keeping track of Femen’s “protests.” Femen targets any group or person that stands for Traditional morality: whether it be the Church or political figures like Vladimir Putin.

Femen is entirely predictable, in a demonic sort of way.

You can’t forgive someone who isn’t sorry for what they did. Furthermore you have no right to say what the Church needs to do or not to do.

What did Christ do when He was hanging on the cross: He pleaded with our Father to forgive them. Were Christ’s persecutors sorry? No, but Christ forgave them regardless.

If as as Catholic I do not have the right to say what the Church ought to do, who has this right?

Just goes to show the intrinsic evil that is abortion, and the works of the devil behind it. Evil manifests evil. Psychopathy manifests psychopaths. What these individuals are doing is pure evil. They are attacking a Prince of the Church because of his stance against murder of innocent unborn children. This really shows the underbelly abortion and the evil that’s behind it’s “cause”. Not just people with picket signs, but bottom-feeders who resort to such measures as these. And people say WE’RE the haters. This is being done out of pure hate for Mother Church and her defense of unborn babies. It really gets to me when the media calls us Christians, primarily Catholics, haters and selfish and unloving. This is a prime example of what REAL hate and selfishness is. No, no, no. We are not the haters, it is them. May God have mercy on us.

St. Michael protect us.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.*

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Let’s also keep His Eminence in our prayers. I have a feeling this won’t be the only attack.

Hail Mary…

Femen is not just topless women shouting a few slogans. Their claim to be nonviolent is false. They have destroyed crosses and memorials and desecrated altars. They offer reward money for vandalising crosses and churches. They are being prosecuted for damaging a new bell at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. They have interrupted Masses in several countries. They have assaulted bishops including throwing a pie in the face of Archbishop Andre-Joseph Leonard. Civil authorities should use the law to protect citizens from them.

I hesitate to put many links because of accompanying photos 😦 but these can be safely viewed:

We must forgive others for the wrongs they have done to use, but we must not make excuses or call it art to minimize the impact of the wrong done to the Bishop. There are many ways to protest, being offensive to others in the hope of scandalizing the Bishop is very wrong and no amount of false narrative will minimize it. it. .

Yup. Personally speaking, I think some counter-FEMEN protesters need to organize, smash into a few of their houses, wreck some of their property, and put the proper fear of God into them. They’ve gotten out of hand; they need to be put back down into the dirt from whence they came.

Just my two cents. Perhaps not particularly Catholic of me, but good golly, am I tired seeing insufferable trash like these sub-human creatures walk all over those who never, ever wished them a lick of harm in their lives.

LOL :ouch: I think it is better to use the law whenever it applies. 😉 Many countries have laws against, for instance, interrupting a religious service or public nudity, vandalising, etc.

Some people in France are calling for the group to be dissolved and go back to Ukraine.

And there is a Face Book group with almost 3,000 “likers” called*** Pour la dissolution des FEMEN France.***

This is just a computer-generated translation of some applicable laws:

In Austria which is a disorder exercise of religion in § 189 of the Criminal Code are punishable. The offense can be punished with a fine of up to 360 daily rates, or with imprisonment of six months. If violence was used, a prison sentence of up to two years is possible.

It’s the Bishop who suffered indignation, it is he who is called to forgive. I speak only to the evil done to the Bishop as away of causing anger and hate. Your analogy of nude art is way off bas These women are not art.
