Nothing really new in this, though, is there? It has been known for a long time that the Democrats will criminalize Trump some way or other if they can. They did it against Bush, Cheney and others, and they’ll do it again. The left is inherently totalitarian and they would line conservatives up against the wall if they could.

 
A $30 million 2 year investigation turns up nothing so now, Planned Parenthood’s party seeks other ways for a coup, what a disgace. The Democrats should be caring for the country and do something for the nation positively.

The conservatives did it against Obama, Clinton and whoever they could. So you have no high horse to criticize the left. There was some difference, however. Clinton only committed a personal and despicable act, and he was dumb enough to commit perjury by denying it. The plethora of crimes committed by Trump is much more serious. What is sad is that even his supporters admit those crimes… they just don’t care.

Your accusation that the left is inherently totalitarian is just your incorrect opinion. The left wishes to limit the freedom of economy, they want to raise taxes, and want to re-distribute wealth. So do the conservatives. They both would love to introduce a new taxation method, which would fit onto a postcard. The first line would say: “How much did you make?” And the second line would say: “Send it in!!”.

The problem is that the conservatives want to spend the money on the military. The liberals want to spend it on health care. Military spending does not create any new wealth. We already have the power to kill the whole Earth several times over. Spending on health care and social programs is at least somewhat useful. Prevention in health care decreases the need for treatments later. So we get something for our money.

It is very sad that neither side understands how the economy works. The temporary growth due to the irresponsible tax cuts to the wealthiest segment of the population is real… but the price to be paid by our children more than nullifies it. The national debt is alarming to everyone who understands basic economics.

The real problem is that neither side understands it - and the general population does not understand it either. Both parties have only one goal in their mind: get into power and keep it. Nothing else matters in politics.
 
I opposed the investigation of Bill Clinton, that of Bush and that of Trump. Those were all invitations to commit injustice, and all did commit injustices. No special prosecutor was appointed to investigate or prosecute Obama, nor was Obama ever charged with anything.

The left is inherently totalitarian because so much of its ideology requires people to do that which they do not want to do or prohibits what they do want to do.

I agree that both Repubs and Dems would love to have more of our money to spend. Unlike you, I don’t know that they much care what they spend it on.

I believe it was Johns Hopkins that did a study on preventive care, and concluded that it does not change outcomes. All the increased spending on preventive care did was to enhance the fees to providers for pretending to do preventive care.

Some spending on healthcare and social programs is useful. Much is not.

All growth is “temporary”, no matter what causes it, because other conditions can change.

I disagree with you in saying neither side understands it. I think both sides do. They just don’t care enough to do anything about it except that the Repubs do sporadically and nowhere near enough.

I disagree with you on military spending as well. Most of it isn’t spent on nukes. Most is on conventional forces. Right now, most of the world is dominated by regimes as bad as any that have ever befouled the earth. Our ability to resist that in the remainder of the world is mostly notional, but it has to have people and hardware to back it up.
 
Trump is not an unindicted co-conspirator. That is a legal term of art meaning a person who is named by a grand jury as having probable cause to charge with a crime along with someone else who is charged, but is not charged due to an agreement with the prosecution that usually entails providing information against one who is being charged.

Some use the term slanderously, of course, because they want to harm Trump.
