Thanks for your posts. I have to disagree with you once again. It’s not my fault that you haven’t been informed by the Church, but the Church is trying to cover up some of the misdeeds in the witch hunt. Herbs can be used in herbal abortion and in the past women with knowledge of herbs were tried as witches. Under the Caroline Code it was illegal to put herbs of the mint family or lamiaceae (from the latin Lamia meaning witch) in your food. Witchcraft is legal and not everything in the supermarket is trustworthy.
So are you living in the middle ages then? (referring to the Caroline Code…)

What are you so afraid of?

I hope to heavens you do not impart this terrifying fear of living into your children, if you have any! If you do, how sad.

You seem to be somewhat discombulated, bouncing all over the place. Are you OK?

The church does have an ocean of blood on its hands from witch hunts. The scope of torture and murder is certainly nowhere near the millions envisioned by the outdated “Burning Times” conspiracy theorists within the witchcraft community, but neither will the church apologists whitewashing of the matter suffice. It’s victims numbered in the thousands and it was not all the work of protestants or of civil authorities acting in isolation from the church. It is what it is. As a present day witch I don’t lose any sleep over it. We have civil law and institutions to defend against such savagery today, and failing that, the second amendment.

I trust that you are aware that most of the actual killing, as opposed to excommunication, was done by the followers of Calvin and Luther, primarily Calvin who rejected Church teaching on Witchcraft but did take the Malleus Maleficarum seriously and relied strictly upon the bible to back it up.

Also, many people try to attribute the persecution of ‘witches’ * to the bull of Pope Innocent VIII in the 15th century but it was not until Luther and Calvin that the persecutions both became much more violent but also tended to focus almost exclusively on females.

There were assuredly mistakes made by people in the Church’s name, but to claim that Church is the exclusive purveyor of this violence is to be less than accurate.*

No.

But you defined a syllogism above as (quoted wikipedia):
The syllogism was at the core of traditional deductive reasoning, where facts are determined by combining existing statements

And proceeded with an example as:
For instance:

Mass murderers Drink water
Joe drinks water
therefore Joe is a mass murderer

This is similar and maybe the same as what I stated above, and they both determine ‘facts’ by combining existing statements, as per the definition you gave. My point stands I think, that not all facts can be determined by repeated observations - particularly those relating to faith and the spiritual world.

And yes I still drink herbal tea. My response was basically explaining what I thought was the point of the OP.

Spiritdaily had an article just yesterday about a bishop speaking of the paganism of *Christians * in the present world:

catholicnewsagency.com/news/archbishop-denounces-post-christian-paganism-of-christian-societies/

Christian culture is taking a huge hit these days – the anti-Christians have taken over our formerly Christian institutions and are using them to try to destroy the faith, through the school curriculum, no school prayer, no public prayer or mention of God (even lawsuits against ‘In God We Trust’), no manger in the public square, purposely not referring to Christmas as such but as the Holiday Season etc. This has led to codified-into-law abominations like abortion, gay-marriage, gays adopting kids (talk about child abuse!) and more (just today spiritdaily has an article saying Wisconsin Church being forced to provide insurance coverage for contraception, and these types of affronts to our faith happen weekly if not daily, some place in the country). And we have naked painted people walking around on our streets and not being arrested, high divorce rates, proposals for euthanasia, etc etc. I never thought I would see the day of gay-marriage or an Anglican priest who divorced his wife to live with a man in an open relationship be promoted to bishop.

As I said, we are in the time of the Great Apostasy, so wake up and look up !

God bless you!

A few more to add to the list:

-drinking kook aid (mixing ingredients together…cauldron based)
-girls playing with dolls (voodoo)
-dancing/singing (rain dances, nature worship)
-voice recognition software (incantations)
-being nice (the devil also can appear to be nice)
-smiling (this is serious stuff)
Snort!! Pepsi all over my keyboard. Sorcery!!!
