I’m done with the Altafsir of the “beautiful” koran verses. It’s exhausting!

I’ve been a member of islamic forum boards on the internet and I have never gone in there with a thread which will read like"…

“hey you muslims, you believe in a moon good called allah”.

Or

“hey you muslims, your self proclaimed prophet was a pedo!!! what do you say to that?”
As I said you must know what is Islam at first. In west people think that symbol of islam is that moon symbol!!! but That is symbol of Ottaman before and Turkay now!

We never have believe in the god of moon. In arabic translations of bible christian translators translate “God” to “allah”. So arab christians are believe in the god of moon?

Stop saying lies about Islam. You just show that you can’t accept the reality.

I love Friendship and we should appreciate the Friendship. We need Friendship and Love too.
Friendship is being denied and let down. There is discussion about scientific miracles in the Quran. The Catholics are running away from that topic because they have nothing of that sort in their bible. So they do not want to take up that subject at all.

They are not ready that any one do that. Now when Friendship is trying to present some good points of Islam or Quran, the Catholics say that religion has nothing to do with science. Why is that?? That is not true.

We Muslims believe that Quran is the word of God. Science is the work of God. There cannot be any difference between the word of God and the work of God. The word of God should support the work of God and the work of God should be according to the word of God. The work of God should not be against the word of God (Quran and Bible).

Quran kalaam Allah ast. Wa Science kaam Allah ast.

We have some important messages in the Quran which are supported by the present day Science. Take for instance:
  1. The bee, makes honey. Allah gave message (Wahi) to the bee to make houses on mountains and trees and to make honey which is a source of Good health for all the people. (Al-Quran 16:68)
God speaks to very clean people only. That is why when Muslims recite the Quran, they clean themselves by Wudhoo (ablution). They do not touch the Quran when they are unclean. The Wahi (revelation) descends on clean people. God made Wahi to the bee only. Bee is the only animal or insect to whom Allah sent Wahi (revelation).

Please note that bee is the cleanest insect. The doctors have verified that.

Whitch islamic book says that? I am as a Mulsim never heard from a muslim that Allah is a moon’s god! As I said before Arabic translations of Bible use “allah” for translating “GOD”

If you knoew arabic never said these things:

al + elah= only + God

Allah means “the only God”

Not so beautiful again! The “disbelievers to allah of him having a partner and otherwise”

Gee, I wonder who they are describing here with the word “partner”.

It is agreed that bible and Quran are not books of science. But Science is the work of God. The sacred books are the word of God. What harm is there if some scientific truths are described in the holy books!! It would help improve our faith.
Please see some more scientific truths via the beautiful verses of the Quran…
  1. The Quran says that Allah created all life with water. Al-Quran 21:30.
We see that scientists are in search of life in other planets. They are looking for water on other planets. Why are they looking for water there. Because they admit that life on other planets will be possible if wate ris found there.
  1. Allah says in Quran “We created everything in pairs…” Al-Quran 36:36.
That could be male and female, positive and negative. bodies and anti bodies, matter and anti matter. Even the birds nd plants have pairs.
  2. The world (specially the church) did not believe that the earth moved. When it was known (discovered) that earth was moving around the Sun, it was yet denied that the Sun moved too. Only a few hundred years ago, it was established that Sun is also moving. 36:38
But Quran had told us that all bodies are moving (floating in their orbit). 36:40
  1. The Quran has told that Sun has its own inherent light, called Dhiaa. It is a bright lamp. 10:5
  2. The Quran has mentioned that moon has not got its own light. It has reflected light called Noor. 10:5.
There may be many more such beautiful verses in the Quran.

Hello planten,

From verse 3, who is the ‘we’ that created everything in pairs?

Have you read Genesis? The first book of the Bible? I would post it, but it would be too long for a post in a thread, but it’s not that long of a read, and I’d like to hear your opinion of it.

Prodigal Son, the word We used in number 3 above refers to Allah (The One God). Allah sometime addresses Himself in the plural, like the Kings issue orders and proclamations in the manner “We are pleased to announce amnesty for the prisnors of war…” even though the king is a one person.
You may post the Genesis, just few pages, only the parts of interest. Very long reading is not necessary. I do not know what you want to prove.

You can just ask me anything, any of your problems, about Genesis, chapter and verses. I can look it up in the King James vesion or any other version of the bible that you indicate. I will try to look up on the internet.

Welcome… Thanks…

I wasn’t trying to prove anything. I was attempting to show there are some similarities’ in the creation between our scriptures.

**Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created heaven, and earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said: Be light made. And light was made.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light that it was good; and he divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:5 And he called the light Day, and the darkness Night; and there was evening and morning one day.
Gen 1:6 And God said: Let there be a firmament made amidst the waters: and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Gen 1:7 And god made a firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament, from those that were above the firmament, and it was so.
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament, Heaven; and the evening and morning were the second day.
Gen 1:9 God also said; Let the waters that are under the heaven, be gathered together into one place: and let the dry land appear. And it was so done.
Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land, Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:11 And he said: let the earth bring forth green herb, and such as may seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, which may have seed in itself upon the earth. And it was so done.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth the green herb, and such as yieldeth seed according to its kind, and the tree that beareth fruit, having seed each one according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Gen 1:14 And God said: Let there be lights made in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years:
Gen 1:15 To shine in the firmament of heaven, and to give light upon the earth, and it was so done.
Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day; and a lesser light to rule the night: and The stars.
Gen 1:17 And he set them in the firmament of heaven to shine upon the earth.
Gen 1:18 And to rule the day and the night, and to divide the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:19 And the evening and morning were the fourth day.
Gen 1:20 God also said: let the waters bring forth the creeping creature having life, and the fowl that may fly over the earth under the firmament of heaven.
Gen 1:21 And God created the great whales, and every living and moving creature, which the waaters brought forth, according to their kinds, and every winged fowl according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:22 And he blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the waters of the sea: and let the birds be multiplied upon the earth.
Gen 1:23 And the evening and morning were the fifth day.
Gen 1:24 And God said: Let the earth bring forth the living creature in its kind, cattle and creeping things, and beasts of the earth, according to their kinds. And it was so done.
Gen 1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, and cattle, and every thing that creepeth on the earth after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:26 And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said: Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed upon the earth, and all trees that have in themselves seed of their own kind, to be your meat:
Gen 1:30 And to all beasts of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to all that move upon the earth, and wherein there is life, that they may have to feed upon. And it was so done.
Gen 1:31 And God saw all the things that he had made, and they were very good. And the evening and morning were the sixth day. **

i think Islam was created because of the hatred mulims have for Jews because they could never bow down and worship the Jewish Jesus. nothing personal, just the way i see it i am not very politically correct, sorry if I offend anyone.

Such sentences are so common in arabic and farsi. When a great one wants talk about himself can use plural nouns and verbs. When we eant to talk about great ones we can do so. May a king says: “we are looking to sky” but he means he is only looking to sky!

Hello friendship,

I apologize I had not responded to this response before. I recognized what planten was saying and understood it. I just wasn’t sure if there was something similar to the Christian view of the ‘Trinity’ in one God when I first read it. (The Trinity being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, still one God.)

It’s your bilieve. But can you confirm it?

It is more like the change in Islam began because of Mohammed’s hatred of the Jews. It is where the Koran contradicts itself (or Mohammed forgot to be peaceful) and where Mohammed gained power and realized it was easier to get followers by force and terror. He found an easy to way get revenge, loot and slaves.

It had nothing to do with the Jews not accepting the Christian’s Jesus. It had to do with the Jews rejecting Mohammed. They rejected Mohammed as a prophet and they rejected his Islam.

Those peaceful passages are the passages that were replaced. They are only used by guys like you trying to convince us that Islam and the Koran are peaceful.

As for the moon symbol in Islam, or Allah being a moon god. Mohammed was a pagan before he proclaimed himself a prophet. His main entity was believed to have been a god called Allah. You can read about it here because I don’t want to go into it all. I know you won’t but in case anyone else does.

The pagan religion of Mohammed is where Mohammed got the kabaa and the black stone from and he just incorporated it into Islam. The idea that Islam is Abrahamic isn’t true and is more closely tied to Mohammed’s pagan religion and what he set up for others to practice. He has similar stories of the Bible in the Koran but they are not accurate and only there to try to prove himself as being a prophet.

Allah means ‘the god’. They think that Allah used to be called Hubal but when Mohammed got rid of the other gods of his old religion he just called Hubal, the god or Allah. It is why the Koran also makes reference to Hubal’s three daughters al-‘Uzza, Manat or Manah, al-Lat because Mohammed almost included them in Islam. He was advised to not do that so he changed his mind on that.

Most of this doesn’t come out of thin air with Mohammed or his God. It came from what the Arabs used to know and do. There is no precedent in the Jewish or Christian religions for the kabaa, the Black rock or Allah’s three daughters. There are probably some other things that I can’t think of right now that Mohammed took from his pagan religion and incorporated it into Islam.

A quote from the article:
Allah. Islamic name for God. Is derived from Semitic El, and [Allah] originally applied to the Moon; he [Allah] seems to have been preceded by Ilmaqah, the Moon-god. Allat is the female counterpart of Allah. (Everyman’s Dictionary of Non-Classical Mythology, Egerton Sykes, Godspeed, Allah)
The Bedouin’s astral beliefs centred upon the moon, in whose light he grazed his flocks. Moon-worship implies a pastoral society, whereas sun-worship represents a later agricultural stage. In our own day the Moslem Ruwalah Bedouins imagine that their life is regulated by the moon, which condenses the water vapours, distils the beneficent dew on the pasture and makes possible the growth of plants. On the other hand the sun, as they believe, would like to destroy the Bedouins as well as all animal and plant life. (History Of The Arabs, Philip K. Hitti, 1937, p 96-101)
In this article, we read about Allah, the kabaa and the black stone:
It is the historical fact that the Ka’aba, the sacred shrine which contains the Black Stone, in Mecca was used for pagan idol worship before Islam and even called the House of Allah at that time. The name of the God whom the Arabs worshipped was the god of pantheon—Ali-ilah the god, the supreme, the predeterminer of everybody’s life or destiny—the chief God “Allah”

No verse of Quran is abrogated and no passage is replaced. The verse of the Quran:

"WE do not abrogate any verse (sign) nor do we make it to be forgotten, we bring a better one in its place or another one equal to that." Al-Quran 2:106.

The above verse is all about the Jews and the christians. Any one can check it up easily. It is only telling about the abrogation of the Torah and the BibleNT verses. Please read verses 2:47 to 2:163. It is all about the people of the books i.e. Jews and the christians. The verse 2:106 falles between verses 47 and 163.

So the abrogation is not for the verses of the Quran. It is all about the verses of the Quran which have abrogated (canceleld) the verses of the Torah and BibleNT with better verses, or verses similar (equally) good.

So whoever says that Quran had abrogated any of its verses, he/she may understand that is not right. The Quran has replaced (abrogated) some of the verses of the torah and the bibleNT.

It would be interesting to read the verses of the Quran from 2:47 to 2:163. He/she will be convinced that abrogation concerns the old scripture (Torah and the BibleNT). It is necessary for the Muslims to read the verses of the Quran from 2:47 to 2:163.

I had to write that because the question of abrogation is being raised again and again.

Not at all J C. I had known very well that Allah did not abrogate any verse of the Quran. Allah is not forgetful or a Fraud to order one thing and then later try to dismiss that.

I was slightly unaware of the real meaning of that verse 2:106. I tried to avoid the meaning that I had known from others, considering it bad for the Christians. But because the Catholics (in this latest case, The Atheist) is repeating the same old accusation of abrogation in the Quran, so it was necessary to look into the things.

I opened the Quran and found that it was all about the people of the books that was described in chapter two, specially from verse 46 onward. Until I came to verse 106. The subject continued further upto verse 163. So I am sure now that the abrogation concerns the previous scriptures, and not the Quran.

SO we have some beautiful verses in the Quran and it would be good for you read the verses 46 onward to 163, please do.

Also, it is not bad to do such thing as to issue new orders for the mankind after long lapse of time. Like you have the bibleNT 1400 years after the books of Moses. The understanding level of the people changes with time. So new (better) teaching can be given. With lapse of time, The people can understand things better which they could not do before.

In the presence of the BIbleOt (orTorah) there was no need for any Jesus or BibleNT. Everything was there in the BibleOT. Then why came the BibleNT?? It came because the people (Jews) forgot the real message and they needed a new message.

Your understanding that : " Problematic at the very least as it implies that God’s word is changeable and this implies that God is not the fountainhead of truth" is not correct. Try to apply it to the BibleOT and BibleNT too. You will understand easily.

Add to that: The teaching of Jesus was for the people of Israel only, that was a limited role, only for those people and for that time.

The Teachings brought by Muhammad are for all people of the world for all times. It is written in the Quran. So the message of the Quran has a wider scope for all mankind.

Sorry pal but even Sharia laws say that parts of the Koran were abrogated. And you’re right about them being about the Jews and the Christians and how believers are supposed to treat them. It went from sounding good to sounding pretty bad.

I prefer to talk about the sects of Islam that directly affect me and the rest of the civilized world and not some sect that in itself has no power within Islam to change anything and are also treated as us unbelievers are treated. You even admitted that yourself to us here.

I know that even the sects of Islam that have the power in Islam such as the sunni, and in some instances the Shia, their followers do nothing to change Islam either. They sound more like you in telling us how peaceful it is or how beautiful it is when it isn’t at all. But discussing those and studying them we are better prepared to know what the intent of Islam is.

As for reading anymore of the Koran than I have to - no thanks. I don’t feel like poking my eyes out with a pencil tonight over some mind numbing, disjointed verses.

JC, you can believe what you like. It is no harm to me. I do not care what you believe. Thanks for the info. Be happy as you are and where you are. If you are satisfied with what you believe,it is okay for the Muslims.

Why must prophet Muhammad had hatred of the Jews? How may prophet muhammad tried to got Jews’ money and he had a poor life until die. History books show us that the Jews had hatred of prophet Muhammad and tried to fight to hom and kill him and asked pagans of Mecca to began Ahzab war. Isn’t it Prophet Mouhammad’s right to prosecute the suberters?

You even don’t know that moon wasn’t Islam synbol and was Ottaman’s countrey. I’m sorry for som sites such as bible.ca whitch write such lies.

Kaaba and black stone didn’t related to pagans relegion. If you read any book about paganst in Arabia, you’ll know Kaaba and balck stone been before beginning of paganism in Arabia. Prophet Muhammad never followed paganism and he always prayed only God. Bible had been changed and difference between Quran and Bible is cause of that. Quran never said that “I am a new book!!” Quran says that it the book of Moses and Ebraham.

Allah means “only God”. Pagans of Arabia never though that Hubal is Allah, as history books say they believe in a God in th sky and his name was “Allah”. Allah is translation of “God(only God if wanst say advertent)”. All people pagans, Muslims, Christians and Jews in Arabia call the god as Allah. So Allah isn’t the name of a bust, But Hubal as Ozza and Lat was a bust whitch pagans worship for them. And other things you said about Uzza and manat and lat are some other jokes.

You said it was what arabs used know and do!!! What you said about peredicts of Quran? What do you have to say about miracles of prophet Muhammad? And you said Allah’s 3 daughters!!! oh God every thing you’re saying is claim, liar. And who said you that Jews and Christians had no precedent with kaaba? As history books say they respected it.

I don’t know what thing of reality is bad whitch dorce you to use lies!

Your qoutes are brummagem. Lies of orientalist and some bigoted atheists such as Ali Sina whitch you quoted just can convince anti-islam ones like them.
