A little insensitive towards the beautiful people PP. Just because we’re is really, really, ridiculously good looking doesn’t mean we don’t have feelings. I can’t help it if I was born with perfect bone structure.
Yeah, and what about the beautiful people who are bald? Soon I won’t be needing any shampoo. Will the commercial speak to me?

The thing about physical beauty is that you just can’t win sometimes. I understand what the OP means in indicating what she’s looking for in a guy. My first serious boyfriend (and I’ve had a lot of boyfriends, lol) was an average looking guy, a bit overweight, but had a gorgeous smile and the most awesome sense of humor. He treated me very, very well. And people actually would ask me, “*You’re *dating him!?” And some of the gossipy women would comment amongst themselves that I was “dating him to make myself look better.” Ugh. Right?

So, let me share this: in contrast, I’ve dated some gorgeous Catholic guys - and by gorgeous I mean model-esque gorgeous. And almost all of them treated me like dirt.

God wants the best for you. You really want a man that will bring out the best in you, as well. You want a best friend. You want someone who will treasure you and grow old with you.

It’s not about status. It’s not about physical beauty. We are all equals made in the image of God. The right man for you might not be an Adonis but a humble guy who sees past the physical and sees your heart. That is what you want. The ultimate beauty is humility, just like our Lord.

I do believe God will bring that man into your life.

Lol :D:p

I can’t speak for runwaymodel, but I don’t think she see’s herself as ‘at the top of the female pyramid’. Of course beauty attracts attention and can afford one wealth and privilege, but I think in general that women look at a happy wife who is obviously loved by her spouse and has her babies around her, as the top of the female pyramid. The way you get to that point is a maze to navigate in our individual ways. Am I right in this girls or is that just me?
Yes, very well stated.

A woman who you just described is a fulfilled woman but when you say she is at the top of the female pyramid she is superior to other women are not in happy marriages, single and/or childless?

What if a woman never gets the golden grail of happy wifehood and motherhood? Is she at the bottom of the hierarchy?

Excellently and intelligently put. There is no “top of the female pyramid.” Physical beauty does not get you into heaven. Hello, Mother Teresa, talk about true beauty!

Being physically beautiful CAN be a hardship - the jealousy, the cattiness, men wanting to use you or make you a trophy wife. I walked that path. It isn’t fun. But you can combat all of that by allowing the gifts God gave you and using it to serve others. As you get older, you start seeing past all the shallowness in the world. Real beauty is St. Francis of Assisi. Real beauty is humility. Real beauty is surrendering yourself to God.

So, you’re beautiful. A lot of other people are. Every woman is beautiful in her own way. Watch the anime Princess Jellyfish to get my point. It’s awesome.

(Yes, I did just reference an anime. Lol)

Hierarchy was probably not apt but I was just using the term the other poster had used.

But no I wouldn’t rate fulfilled wife/mother as ‘superior’ I would say it has an esteem that could be recognised as natural and divine. But it’s what drives the majority of women forward in whatever they are doing even if it isn’t obvious to them at a given time. I’ve even heard Germaine Greer lament having forsaken husband and children. I also know from a religious sister close to me that commonly nuns at a particular part of life, go through a period of grief at not having physically experienced wife/mother.

I really appreciate everyone’s advice and feedback. And as I have mentioned many times, I know there are worse problems to have, which is why I’ve hesitated to post for so long, but finding someone suitable (described perfectly by ‘CthgeDelendaEst’: as someone who can elevate me or at a bare minimum, on my level) has been difficult. Because in the he end I want what everyone wants: a family. I need a husband first though. Eventually. :o
You might want to look into “singlecatholicsonline” - I was there years ago and it is a good place to find persons who are seeking to follow Christ faithfully. The “profile” is not like many other sites but gets very much into important aspects of life -above all those of Faith.

Or go to Franciscan University 🙂 Many girls when there for not only the profound education but for a “M.R.S” degree …Not were I met my wife - but a wonderful place to do so.

If you don’t like to be beautiful you can easily turn less attractive by using bad clothes, no make up and if this not enough, you could wash you less.

The other direction is not as easy. What comes next on this forum? “Having enough foot is horrible” or what? People have problems…

Starting to see where your woman troubles are coming from buddy. Gotta have empathy. And patience. Even if you think these problems are beneath you. Even if where you’re at you’d love to have these problems. I mean it.

But seriously. I’m feeling some deeper level pain here. Why don’t you tell me about it. Give your buddy Trident a PM. Let’s walk a mile in your shoes for a minute.

Peace Andre.
