NBC’s anti-Christian program The Book of Daniel has been cancelled! Your efforts, combined with those of hundreds of thousands of other AFA Online supporters, had an impact.

NBC’s decision to pull The Book of Daniel shows the power of the pocketbook. NBC didn’t want to eat their economic losses. Had NBC not had to eat millions of dollars each time it aired, NBC would have kept The Book of Daniel on the air. Because of your efforts, the sponsors dropped the program. NBC then decided it didn’t want to continue the fight.

Even an impassioned plea by Daniel’s producer Jack Kenny could not match your participation. “Ordinarily, I would never ask anyone to do this, but the AFA and bullies like them are hard at work to try and prevent you from seeing these beautiful shows, and that is censorship—pure and simple. And that is both un-Christian and un-American,” Kenny wrote. His attitude is typical in today’s society. Non-Christians telling Christians what is Christian.

People like Kenny don’t want people like you to have a voice. They want to deny you the right to get involved. You are supposed to sit back and take the trash. And when you do speak up they call you names.

This shows us that we don’t have to simply sit back and take the trash, but we can get involved and fight back with our pocketbooks. I want to thank the 678,394 individuals who sent emails to NBC and the thousands who called and emailed their local affiliates.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved!

I am suprised Kenny did not call up Terrorists or Nazis. That would be the typical tact of the Hollywood left these days.

While I wouldn’t go so far as to declare Mr. Kenny a “non-Christian” (since I have no idea what, if any religious affiliation he has), I would say that he is very wrong about such protests being “un-Christian and un-American.” Impassioned protest is a staple of Americanism. And as for un-Christian, how is it un-Christian to help prevent a sick program depicting a supposedly religious family as filled with every moral aberration under the sun from being broadcast? Mr. Kenny is seriously deluded if he thinks that such a ridiculous set up makes for a “beautiful show.”

Who says boycotting doesn’t work?
Simply put, when you don’t watch a tv program, or movie, Hollywood will notice it.
The Book of Daniel, from what I heard, was just Simply Bad, and with Prime Time TV being of poor quality anyway, then this program must have been pretty horrible!

P.S. I heard Commander in Chief is heading that way too…down.

That is the best news I have heard in a long time! Alleluia!
Ditto!!!

The best part of it is, it didn’t need to be censored by the government, it simply wasn’t eaten up by the consumers. Natural selection in a democracy. I don’t advocate a government dictating censorship, The govt. is by of and for the people, so the values of the people should be reflected in a democracy. When it comes to a business or company If the consumer isn’t buying, the art doesn’t pay, natural selection. Boycotting a law, company or product that goes against our beliefs is AMERICAN.

YOOO HOOO! Great Job, America!

Good, not only am I not a Geena Davis fan, but I can’t bear to even think of watching the show because it just makes me think of Hillary Clinton. I suffered the Clinton administration for 8 years, no need to relive the “joy” (sarcasm)

I watched the first and second Daniel episodes. It was just a bad TV show. It was stupid and boring. I suspect the people who created it would rather blame outside groups than take responsibility for making a bad show. That makes getting the next job easier.

If every Christian in America had remained silent, the show would still have been a dud. I only watched it to see what people were complaining about. And the guy who played Jesus killed Wild Bill Hickock in HBO’s Deadwood.

When a tv production company puts out a bad tv show, and it flops…I wonder, do they get to write it off their taxes…that’s if they even PAY taxes!

Sure they do. It’s a business deduction if they can show a loss.

Also “The West Wing” was cancelled too. Never watched the show though.

I just read a link on Spirit Daily that "The Book of Daniel " will be pulled from NBC’s Friday Night line up. Anyone else hear that?

I just posted in popular media fourm that NBC just pulled The Book of Daniel from its line up. Has anyone else heard this?

I think it is a little strange to cancel a show that only aired twice. I saw both episodes and couldn’t quite make up my mind. I kind of liked the way that the priest talked to the Jesus character, but the Jesus character seemed a little bland.

It is too bad it is being cancelled so soon. I think it is refreshing to have TV shows that deal with religion. The writers just need to come up with something that doesn’t offend as many people.

Why? Was there something wrong with that show? I haven’t seen or heard anything about the show. Could someone tell me what is so bad about this show? Thanks and God bless.

I really hope not, that is one of my favorite shows on television! but I am glad that the Book of Daniel has flopped!
