Actually Commander and Chief is one of the highest rated shows on television. Its an awesome show, I dont see what a big problem it is for anyone.

NBC’s anti-Christian program The Book of Daniel has been cancelled! Your efforts, combined with those of hundreds of thousands of other AFA Online supporters, had an impact.

NBC’s decision to pull The Book of Daniel shows the power of the pocketbook. NBC didn’t want to eat their economic losses. Had NBC not had to eat millions of dollars each time it aired, NBC would have kept The Book of Daniel on the air. Because of your efforts, the sponsors dropped the program. NBC then decided it didn’t want to continue the fight.

Even an impassioned plea by Daniel’s producer Jack Kenny could not match your participation. “Ordinarily, I would never ask anyone to do this, but the AFA and bullies like them are hard at work to try and prevent you from seeing these beautiful shows, and that is censorship—pure and simple. And that is both un-Christian and un-American,” Kenny wrote. His attitude is typical in today’s society. Non-Christians telling Christians what is Christian.

People like Kenny don’t want people like you to have a voice. They want to deny you the right to get involved. You are supposed to sit back and take the trash. And when you do speak up they call you names.

This shows us that we don’t have to simply sit back and take the trash, but we can get involved and fight back with our pocketbooks. I want to thank the 678,394 individuals who sent emails to NBC and the thousands who called and emailed their local affiliates.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved!

Sincerely, Don

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

Also “The West Wing” was cancelled too. Never watched the show though.

I didn’t hear that. The 7th seasons of it is set to air in March. It is quite a popular show.

GE’s NBC Universal is in terrible shape. People are talking about a spinoff of NBC Universal asset to shareholders.

I am just not a fan of Geena Davis. For what ever reason she annoys me as an actress, I dont have anything against her personally, I just don’t enjoy her work.

I assumed by the previews that her character is a Pro choice advocate, but perhaps I am wrong. I assumed it was an attempt to prime America for Hillary Clinton to run for the presidency.

Even if she is Prolife, I would have trouble watchign it because Geena Davis’ acting annoys me.

No. But if so, it is probably more due to small viewership than any complaints received.

I also read somewhere else that it was pulled. I thought the article said it was because they were having a hard time selling it’s commerical timeslots.

I got an email today from some organization (forgot which one - pro-family type) saying it was pulled because of boycotts and complaints to the sponsors of the show.

It was the American Family Association, my car pull partner is a member and they sent letters to all the sponsors saying they would boycott them if they continued to advertise on that program.

May God Bless and protect us,
JLC

See what happens when you attack Christians? Your show gets pulled! :tsktsk:

The show failed as much for its poor quality and taste as anything else. What kind of weirdo would identify with these characters? Who would think a humorous portrayal of Alzheimer’s is the best way to spend a night watching TV? All the characters are lying, cheating and morally stupid beasts.

The only saving grace the creators have for their blatant display of incoherence and incompetence in their art is that it was controversial. Now, like Ron Howard, they can have their failure but distance themselves from the responsibility.

I am glad the boycott worked (I signed the petition) but I cannot help but wonder if the creators have escaped the infamy of being known as the fantastic failures they really are.

This means we have to keep our eyes out for Jack Kenny et al.

What was Ron Howard’s failure?

Ron Howards failure will be the Da Vince Code. He’s the Director.

I predict it will be a huge hit. Millions of books have sold. I expect the same huge success for the movie. When does it come out?

Thank God this show is cancelled. Tv is so moronic, and I hardly watch anything but EWTN.
