BEFORE FAST & FURIOUS, FLORIDA HAD OPERATION CASTAWAY
Two Justice Department officials resigned and a dozen more face possible disciplinary action after the September release of a scathing 512-page Inspector General’s report that detailed the “seriously flawed” Fast & Furious case in which Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents allowed AK 47-style firearms and other weapons to cross the border into Mexico.
The report never mentions the lesser-known Operation Castaway…
By contrast, Fast and Furious was designed to allow guns — about 2,000 — to go out of the country. Crumpler admitted he dealt about 1,000 firearms, including the notorious Fabrique Nationale Herstal semi-automatic handguns nicknamed cop-killing “ matapolicias” by cartel thugs who prize their armor-piercing capabilities.

EDITORIAL:
Congress, approached by IRS employees (IRS being a division of the Treasury Department as is ATF with its Fast & Furious scandal), asked TIGTA to investigate why fraud controls were lifted, allowing fradulent refunds to be issued. Employees had been told by executives this was the new modus operandi of drug cartels; and that fraudulent refunds had to be issued to establish a case against perps. The pattern of executives lifting controls already in place is the same as Fast & Furious and other gun walking schemes, like Operation Castaway out of Florida. Florida seems to be the sweet spot where cop-killer guns and cash were provided to drug cartels through Treasury executives lifting controls on gun sales and softening standards for refund fraud formerly in place. Note that within this IRS press release, the IRS states it will continue to give out multiple taxpayer refunds to the same debit card, an invitation to fraud.
Blessed Virgin Mary, “pierced with a sword of sorrow that the thoughts of all may be revealed,” expose all thoughts, cleansing them in the abyss of mercy and love which is your Son, Jesus Christ’s Sacred Heart. Thanks. AMEN
