A deacon really should know better than to interrupt someone at prayer. Then again, so should the lay faithful. Sigh.
I wonder if he doesn’t have some mental challenges, instead of being deliberately disrespectful?and saying dingaling under his breath at the Consecration.
We can hope so.Still you never know, they may have gone home, and done some thinking.
Yes , I can sympathize with you .Can anyone sympathize with me ?
There’s a meme in that thread that points out that knocking over tables and using one’s belt as a whip is on the table when discussing “what would Jesus do?” . . .What he got was a crowd of vendors hawking cheap trinkets, beggars, street people, the whole spectrum. He was taken aback.
Lisa, as much as I would like to see this happen, that would only make “the ministers of hospitality” the bad guys. That is not their job. If it gets loud, a disgruntled parishioner will do it. Otherwise, an usher telling someone to be quiet would be an insult to them and most would feel bad and probably leave, IMO.instruct the ushers that if someone is carrying on a loud conversation, it’s ok to approach them and ask them to lower their voices. Parishioners will get the message quickly.
At my church it’s the piano and singing before Mass that messes up my concentration.I went to Reconciliation at another parish, thinking I’d stay for Mass. But hearing the electric guitar and bass warming up…sorry.
