Some of you may recall earlier threads of total heartbreak and drug addiction, still dealing with them unfortunately, heartbreaker waltz back in like nothing happened only to leave again and even though it’s no excuse it has not stopped usage (although today has been my first straight day in months)
It seems everytime God brings a new person into my life they end up hurting me in some way, shape or form. I get so angry at him for constantly hurting me and can’t understand why. I’m a good person with a heart of gold and would never dream of doing what’s been done to me to anybody.
I don’t want to lose God or my faith but it is getting very difficult to do and want badly to lash out at him.
I pray that he stops torturing my heart, body and soul and finally gives me what I so desperately need
I was just thinking about your situation a few minutes ago. I was going to send you a PM to see how things are going.
This quote sums up what I believe about everything that God sends our way, or at least allows to happen:
GOD CONTROLS ALL EVENTS, WHETHER GOOD OR BAD
From
Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence
Nothing happens in the the universe without God willing and allowing it. This statement must he taken absolutely of everything with the exception of sin. ‘Nothing occurs by chance in the whole course of our lives’ is the unanimous teaching of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church, ‘and God intervenes everywhere.’
One little positive example is what just happened: God made sure that I found some way to contact you by you posting this and me finding it shortly after thinking of you.
Your problems are much more complex. We cannot know in this lifetime why it is that God allows some things.
Here’s what we DO know:
- God is omniscient/all-knowing. He is outside of time. He knows and sees all things and the results of all.
- God is all-loving. He will do whatever is necessary for the good of our immortal souls.
No matter how dismal things get, we have to keep faith in God. He is our only hope.
For you my friend:
**
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.**
