At NO point have I said ANYTHING that over rides the church!!! The church DOES NOT forbid the wearing of veils or modest dress… sorry!!!

You continue to wear your jeans and tennis shoes and I will dress more modestly and reverant in the house of my Lord. Your problem is, you truly don’t beleive HE is present during Communion!!! If you did, no doubt you would dress up for the King of Kings!!!

You continue to wear your jeans and tennis shoes and I will dress more modestly and reverant in the house of my Lord. Your problem is, you truly don’t beleive HE is present during Communion!!! If you did, no doubt you would dress up for the King of Kings!!!

It’s just your opinion? Well how about respecting those who don’t agree with it? What makes you think those who are wearing jeans and tennis shoes in the Lord’s house don’t have true reverence for the sacrament? Besides, an individual who is in state of grace may receive communion regardless of how modest/immodest you think they are 🙂

Agape-your statement is completely out of line. It is against forum rules to question the “Catholic-ness” of other posters and to make personal comments. Perhaps you should review the rules.

Just another FYI…jeans and athletic shoes are not against the Church and for many people, even in the US, that is the best they have!
