Dear Tony,
If you think God’s religions make mistakes you have a major problem.

Christians state there are no Prophets after Jesus although the Bible does not state this. The same cannot be said about Islam. The Quran and Islamic narrations explicitly state that Muhammad is the last Prophet and your argument falls apart when applied to Islam.
Dear peace_at_last - This is applicable to Islam dear friend, the explanations are there as to how and why this is so. If you wish you can pursue this further.

God Bless you and Regards Tony

Yes, in the same that it applied at the last Supper.
Will he need to govern the peoples of the world as prophecied in Isaiah 9:6?

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

.

So let me get this right, the Baha’i religion rejects Reincarnation, but Buddhism is part of the Baha’i faith.:hmmm:
Dear peace_at_last - After 30 years of reading the Baha’i Writings it was but just the other day my dull brain started to see how the Teachings of Buddha on Reincarnation tie into Gods Revelation so beautifully (It must be stated that the teachings of Buddha can not be determined to be 100% accurate).

From what I see It is not a material teaching, it is a reality of the Spiritual World.

A connection to this is that of Elisha shall always come first and John the Baptist.

But this an entirely different subject for another day.

God Bless and Regards Tony

1-It is the People that make mistakes not the divine religions. The religions are from God and free from mistakes. Tony stated that ‘religions’ make mistakes not ‘people’.
Dear peace_at_last - It is the 'People" Dear Friend, Not God or His Messenger or His Word.

It is up to each person to conclude what is Truth after this.

God Bless all and their decisions in this matter and Regards Tony

“Should anyone intentionally destroy a house by fire, him also shall ye burn; should anyone deliberately take another’s life, him also shall ye put to death. Take ye hold of the precepts of God with all your strength and power, and abandon the ways of the ignorant. Should ye condemn the arsonist and the murderer to life imprisonment, it would be permissible according to the provisions of the Book. He, verily, hath power to ordain whatsoever He pleaseth,” Baha’u’llah, The Kitab-i Aqdas, p. 203.

So I Guess The Baha’u’llah didn’t take too kindly to arson:D
Dear Techno2000 - Plucking out a law from the Kitab-i-aqudas (Book of Laws) is not a just way of looking at how they will be implemented

This law is not yet applicable and is to be determine by the Universal House of Justice as to when and how it is implemented. There are other penalties that apply and this is the Justice that can be given in an extreme case. (Of course IMHO until it is enacted)

The sad thing we have not got to the day when it is needed, so lets hope we learn well and learn fast or we will see a world that may need this law.

There are parts of the World where this Justice most likely needs to be dished out as we sit here in comfort and not in war where peoples Houses and Living are being destroyed by Radicals 🤷

God Bless and Regards Tony

If you refuse to clarify what you meant exactly, then I have no choice but to use my own discernment to interpret what you meant.

And either you mean: anyone can believe anything…and it’s all copacetic with you…which allows EVIL to triumph while you sit and shrug, “To each his own”…

OR

You mean: it’s all fine, as long as it coincides with what you believe is good…

which is supremely solipsistic.

Either way, “To each his own” is an inutile paradigm for any rational person to espouse.
You are so wrong. Typical close minded attitude. I am willing to tolerate a wide variety of beliefs. As long as your belief isn’t harming anyone, including yourself, I am willing to tolerate it. As you can see, this is neither tolerating evil nor only allowing only what I think is good. You took my statement way too literally, which is the wrong way to interpret it. Instead of asking for a simple clarification of what I meant, you chose to interpret what I said in the most negative light you could. You are not an honest person.😦

All that is mentioned of the Manifestations and Dawning-places of God signifies the divine reflection, and not a descent into the conditions of existence.

What does… Dawning-places of God; mean ?
Father Baron explains this one really well 🙂

All of creation is a dawning place of God. If God is the Sun, then creation reflects His light. Just as the sun does not “descend” to earth, God does not “descend” into creation.

Creation is made “in the image” of God. If you believe God Himself came into Creation, then you are a pantheist. Creation is an “image” or a “reflection” of God’s attributes, everything in creation reflects something of God in the form of an attribute.

The most perfection reflection of ALL of God’s attributes is the Manifestation of God (Baha’u’llah, the Bab, Muhammad, Jesus, etc etc)

Here’s Father Baron:

This is my post # 159 lol anyway it is Servant19 that said Baha’i doesn’t believe Reincarnation.

No Dear friend we do not believe in Reincarnation in this World. I see you were not actually genuinely interested in this subject, but to bring ridicule!

The Teachings of Buddha go a lot deeper then you give credit for dear friend in God, thus may you find in your search one day as to what I refer to.

God Bless and Regards Tony

Be careful, CITW. It is good for you to be here. You need to dialogue with knowledgeable Catholics, so it would be a shame for you to be banned for being uncharitable. So just take it down a wee bit, and you’ll be fine.

So you are okay with adultery, as long as the cuckolded spouse never finds out? Let’s say a man has cheated on his wife, just once, and it’s been a year now and she has no idea. She is quite happy with their marriage. He is happy too.

He professes, “I had a one night stand. It made me happy. No one got hurt. I used a condom. It was absolutely fine for me to do.”

You are ok with that? Really?

It didn’t harm anyone.
You are not an honest person.😦
Careful…

PR, what’s going on here??? You twisting his words and satisfying your own agenda???

He said he can tolerate a variety of BELIEFS!!

Not ACTS, like adultery and paedophilia and arson and rape.

Sheesh. No one ever taught you the qualities of honest, respectful dialogue to go with your claim of being a “knowledgeable Catholic”??

You yourself are lucky to be conversing with someone who had such a profound experience with God. CAF is blessed to have him as a guest, not the other way around.

Dear tonyfish58 you’re right, I ridicule a little, but you ChristIsTheWay and Servant 19 are such, lovely, polite and intelligent people that I feel guilty.I restarted this Thread in the hopes of showing you all some Catholic private revelations but there doesn’t seem to be much interest. So with that said it probably time to stop posting to this Thread because nobody is getting anywhere.

God bless you tonyfish58, ChristIsTheWay and Servant 19 👍

Thank you Dear Techno2000 - God Bless your journey, The Private Revelations are a wonderful thing dear friend, but they are for the person that receives them and another ones Faith can not be dependent upon them, we can but admire the insight they have gained. An example is ChristIsTheWay’s Experience, a very powerful experience, to which was for Him - Please Note how mostly all others put it aside as not an example of Faith!

I would like to add these reflections for you to consider in the years to come.

Please Remember that all Tests of Faith are from God, not Man. God never tests a Soul beyond its capacity, it is pure Bounty on Gods Behalf.

It is also worthy to note, that once a test has been granted to a person and then the person does not pass, it will keep coming back until one does. After you have finally accepted the result, you will be given it again one more time, just in case!

Reflect over the life to come, as to how many times the Baha’i Faith will now come to your attention! 😉 👍 😊

The Test of the Evil one is OUR willingness to give up Self and Attachment to this world.

God Bless and Regards Tony

since this is a catholic website and there are guests on it trying to spread a non-Catholic faith, I think it is completely appropriate to point out that the faith the guests tout denies most of the essential doctrines taught by the successors to the apostles selected by tryinLord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of God, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity.

the faith being touted by the guests is no more related to the faith handed down to this generation by the Lord Jesus Christ’s apostles than is Marxism, Maoism, Mormonism and other faiths that try to build upon Jesus by deviating from His teachings.

they use the words of the apostles but change the meanings. this is a common device by many who claimed to be Jesus or His equivalent for the present age.

my prayer for those who read here is that they be not deceived in to thinking that what the guests promoting a faith contrary to the RC faith are doing anything other than trying to convince readers that the apostles and the RCC is wrong regarding its most essential and fundamental doctrines.

do not be deceived. Jesus provided for all of us through the establishment of apostolic succession. those who oppose the apostles and their teachings oppose Jesus.

Jesus made sure His sheep would have a shepherd even though Jesus Himself would ascend in to heaven.

Hi peace, I think a lot of clarification is required for you in relation to these passages. I’m short on time right now but I can address them for you further if you need it, later today 🙂

1-But please also bear in mind that contradictions occur all the time in Revelation. “The Father and I are one” and then “the Father is greater than I”

2-There are several factors that come into play but briefly, a human being should not shun anyone for we are prone to injustice, but it is within the right of God to shun any one of His servants, He is the All-Just. In the Bible Jesus says that He is All-Forgiving but He will never forgive anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit.

These are matters of justice.

3-In regards to the prisons etc, Abdul-Baha was giving an overview of the current “mentality” of society, not that having places for incarceration are bad things for society to do, the Bahai Faith fully endorses justice within society. It’s just that currently the level of maturity of society is not at the level where true justice can be meted out. It is for this reason that the Bahai Laws for theft etc are not applicable to anyone today. The Universal House of Justice will make those decisions in the future

4-Finally, it’s not “any book”, it specifies only those from the learned and the wise and the Holy Books…

.
1- I am truly amazed at the level of reasoning in your arguments. Apparently, since the Baha’i creed is filled with contradictions that cannot be justified, Baha’is are taught that contradictions always occur in revelations. Common-sense and the Quran teach us that contradictions are a sign that a belief is not from God:
Quran: 4:82: “Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction.”

2-Baha’u’llah claims he has nullified and abolished anything that can be a cause of shunning. With this statement at hand, he cannot go around giving orders for people to be shunned for so and so reason because he nullified anything that can be a cause for shunning. If you haven’t realized it yet, this is a contradiction. But you don’t seem to have a problem with contradictions so I’ll leave it at that.

3-Abdu’l-Baha tells us that the punishments that exist in society are demoralizing. It is truly astounding that he doesn’t deem them demoralizing when his father prescribes the exact same punishments in his book of laws. Again, this is a contradiction, but … never mind.

4- Firstly, Baha’u’llah says his tablet shows him EVERYTHING plus the scriptures and revelations not just a couple of limited books: “presently there will appear before the face of thy Lord in the form of a tablet all that which hath appeared in the world and is revealed in the Holy Books and Scriptures.” Secondly, the book that Baha’u’llah was referring to was written by a “learned person”, thus your argument is invalid from two perspectives.

5- Its amusing how you simply ignored Baha’u’llah falsely stating that two prophets were contemporary with two philosophers, while in reality they lived centuries apart: “Empedocles, who distinguished himself in philosophy, was a contemporary of David, while Pythagoras lived in the days of Solomon, son of David, and acquired Wisdom from the treasury of prophethood.” Baha’u’llah, Tablets of Baha’u’llah Revealed After the Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 145

When (IF EVER) the Baha’i kingdom forms, arsonists will be burned alive at the stake like witches or thrown in human burning furnaces. So much love.
